Overview: My wife wanted to try it here as she was looking for a unique dining experiences apart to restaurants by the beach. That's when we decided to try Kusina Kabakiran as we live in the area. Location/Ambience: I'm going to be honest, it's very far from the town proper but when we arrived we knew it was worth it. There are steep roads on the way here from the Candon diversion road and highly recommend using a vehicle to get here. The ambience is serene and peaceful, we were happy to know there is no cellular signal here to help get away from the hustle and bustle of life. Our son enjoyed the fact that there was so much grasshoppers and butterflies in the surrounding area of the restaurant. Food: We had around 8 people and my wife ordered Set A and Set B to share. It was more than enough and the food was delicious. The sisig, calamares and crispy bagis were the highlights. We also ordered Sinigang soup to match the rainy weather and ice cream and pritong patupat for dessert. Verdict: Although skeptical at first, our trip to this amazing restaurant hidden in the hills of Candon was worth the trip. The restaurant itself is must see for its architectural and artistic beauty. The food is great and the service was warm and welcoming. I highly recommend this to any balikbayans or visitors in the Candon area.

I enjoyed the pork sisig and the fried diket dessert. It's cool inside the building despite the hot weather. They have friendly staff and the customer service is great.

Worth the visit! The food is not that expensive but the taste is so good. If you like to try Filipino food specially ilocano dishes, I totally recommend this resto ☺️

The food is great as well as the ambience and atmosphere however the customer service is 0/10 the servers is okay nmn they are nice pero yung cook nila is napaka bastos and walang modo. So umorder kami ng tatlong putahe however since medjo may kaliitan yung serving we decided do add 2 more orders, then after 10 mins. my mom requested another pancit bihon for us. And guess what? That assigned chef that day is sinisigawan na si ateng waitress sa kusina lyk wat da hell? Ano ksalanan nya? Saying "ano may additional order na nmn?! Ano pa order nila? Wala na ba silang ipapahabol?! Lyk srsly? Is that how you treat your customers nicely? Sobrang accommodating nyo ha? Partida lima lang kaming customers nyo dat time and naabutan rin nmin kayong chill chill lng so I don't understand kung bkit galit na galit si sir chef eh di nmn sila busy that day. Sobrang nakaka gigil, we are so offended. Kung ayaw mong mag trabaho dyan as chef then better resign na lng kung puro ka reklamo! I was about to rqst for a manager kaso kinausap na lng ako ng nanay ko na wg na. Pero srsly nakakairita partida birthday ko pa nmn that day. Tsk. Sobrang awa ako dun sa waitress wala nmng ksalanan. Hays.

Ganda pa nmn nung place and ansasarap ng food but it's not worth it na balikan pa since ma attitude...
