Hey there! ๐๏ธ I just wanted to share my experience at a branch of Max's Restaurant that I recently visited, Candon Branch. ๐ฝ๏ธ
We decided to delve into a few of their signature dishes - we tried their halo halos, the classic fried chicken, and even the beef kare-kare. The halo halos were an absolute treat, offering a cool and refreshing contrast to the savoury dishes. The fried chicken lived up to its classic tag, crispy on the outside and moist inside. As for the beef kare-kare, the rich flavors infused in the dish were simply outstanding.
The staff, I must add, did attend to us and made sure our needs were catered to. But I couldn't help but notice there was something a bit off about the vibes. I'm not sure if it was just an off day or something else entirely, but it was definitely noticeable. ๐
But I think what surprised me the most was seeing flies buzzing about in a place like this, which honestly is something I didn't expect at all. For an establishment of this stature, it's imperative to ensure hygiene and cleanliness, taking all measures possible to avoid any sort of inconvenience. Flies buzzing around can definitely dampen the dining experience and I believe it's something that cannot be overlooked. ๐ฆ
All in all, my visit to Max's Restaurant was a mixed bag. The food quality was indeed top-notch, but the overall experience could have been better. I hope they can work on the areas that need improvement.
As always, I'm just sharing my thoughts and experiences, so take it with a...
ย ย ย Read moreService here is not worth the price. They have a very expensive menu, but it doesn't meet the expectations. I've dined here several times already, as I have no other choice since it's just beside the stern mall and so far, everything I've ordered tasted ordinary. It would have been OK if the place was clean but, my goodnesss! Their comfort rooms are disgusting! It would be better to use the mall's comfort rooms than theirs! you'll surely lose your appetite had you used their CRs before you ate your...
ย ย ย Read moreClean place; still cooks the same type of fried chicken that they're known for since I was a kid; has a lot of new traditional Filipino home-cooked dishes on the menu. When they say a dish serves 4, think 4 average Filipinos; foreigners used to bigger servings will consider those dishes good for 2 or maybe 2.5 persons. Servers are very helpful and polite, & they accept credit cards! Also has free Wi-Fi! These last 2 are uncommon in Candon, so I was very grateful for the...
