Café Gara — Restaurant in Carigara

The food here is excellent - usually. We stayed in the hotel here for a couple of days and ate here several times. Our first night here we had the taco appetizer and the everything pizza. Both were delicious! The pizza was the best I've had in the Philippines! Yummy. We've had breakfast here twice because it's included in the room stay. Both times it was delicious to. I got set H with the pancakes. Yummy, fluffy pancakes! However, I only gave 4 stars for one reason. We got a piece of carrot cake and chocolate cake from the dessert display case the first night. We ordered fish steak and daing na bangus for breakfast. Unfortunately, the fish servings were smaller than expected. Nonetheless, their coffee was superb! Plus, they have polite and very accommodating staff. They even allowed us to charge our phones as there are several outlets under some seats. They open at 7AM, and the last order is at 8PM. Too pricey for bad and bland 🤢 tasting food and small meal portions. ₱285 for 5 pieces of small shrimp and frozen veggie mix. The egg and fish steak are unseasoned. The honey garlic shrimp is too sweet. The blue lemonade has a weird after-taste. They also don't serve tissue at the table.

But the service is decent. They give free cake for birthday celebrants. Enough...
