Acacia Grill & Restaurant — Restaurant in Cebu

Sometimes you really need to consider reviews more, as me and my boyfriend found out when we visited this place a couple of days ago.. When we arrived, we weren't greeted by any personnel, they seemed like they couldn't care less that they had customers, so we just kind of tried to pick out a table ourselves. When we sat down, a waiter finally came with some menues. We had a couple of seconds to decide and then he was back. He didn't seem interested in being there though. We were THEN told that half of the menu was unavailable (almost all seafood and all sides) instead of telling us right away. I order the buttered chicken , and while we waited, we tried to connect to the Wi-Fi with the code the waiter had given us. After several tries, it turned out that he had horribly misspelled it. It reflected on how difficult it was to communicate with the staff. After a while, the food came. The first piece of chicken turned out to be a piece of revenge or something with not even a bite of meat on it, which was why I didn't notice that the chicken was so undercooked that it was RAW until the second piece! I ended up only eating the rice we had ordered because I stopped trusting the kitchen then. I mentioned that it was difficult to communicate with the staff. I tried complaining and telling the head waiter (?)that I was not paying for raw chicken that I was not eating and that no I did not want it refried, but it did not seem like he understood the problem at all. When I read about the reviews that say great food, staff, etc., I wonder if we visited an Acacia Grill in a parallel universe. Our experience was horrible. Although there were only two tables occupied, it took us 30 minutes to attract the attention of the lone waiter who seemed to hate being there and were angry at us for some reason. Totally disinterested. We ordered shrimp and fries. Shrimp was overcooked, and completely cold. So were the fries, also cold and soggy. Since I could not get the attention of the waiter, I brought them back to the kitchen myself, but the lady who was doing the cooking was offended that I complained, and didn't think anything was wrong with it. It is such a waste that a potentially pleasant place ends up leaving you...

This is a bad restaurant. First when they served us service water there were bugs floating inside, they didn’t even check once what they serve to their customers. When the food arrived the pancit was very soggy and oily and the kawali was very dried. I expected cebu to have good lechon but this restaurant disappointed me. The last part is the worse one when they gave us the bill the prices of the food doubled they said the menu wasn’t updated but how was the customer supposed to know that?? The waiter didn’t say anything new about the prices when we ordered we were shocked that our bill was high and when we confronted them about it they just said sorry maam and no other explanation.
