Cucina Carmencita — Restaurant in Cebu

We had a late night dinner at Cucina Carmencita last January 19, 2019 after an invitation came through from our relatives who happen to visit Carmen. Here's my take of the whole experience.

PROS: -Clean dining hall. Spacious tables and long benches for groups are available -Attentive staff. Maybe because we were just one of the few diners that night but nonetheless, they were very attentive to our needs -Good food. The Tinola was delicious and tasty -Very accessible as it is located along the main highway in Carmen, Cebu -You can opt to sit at the dining area at the restaurant's veranda to get a distant view of the sea -It looks like it can be converted to an air-conditioned restaurant during the day since air-con units are installed. We just did not ask them to turn it on since it was a breezy night then so the temperature was just right -Has smoking area available -Parking spaces are available too - but just limited

CONS: -Since this is located along the main highway, it maybe distracting for diners to hear the sound of moving cars during busy traffic days -It was a bit odd to get a soda in a bottle these days when you order at restaurants but they serve them anyway -They have TV installed in the dining hall but the reception was really bad and the LCD display I think was broken as the pictures have been badly distorted -Limited parking. Their parking space at the restaurant front can only accommodate about 4 cars -This is not a good restaurant for PWD as there's no access for them here

Overall, we had good food after all and that's what matters most. Will come back next time? Probably as this is one of the few decent food...

Very dissappointed with this place. We were served with a very salty pansit canton. When we called their attention the waiter brought it to the cook, the cook said she will not change or take it off the bill since it was bawas na, 1/3 was left on the serving plate.."hello" of course its bawas na coz we put them on our plates, thinking it was good. We just paid it kasi nakakaawa yung waiter, cya magbayad if we don't pay it. Can you believe it!! Will never eat nor recommend this place. It looks good from the outside but...

It was my second time to stop here and I'm pleased they've maintained their standards. Service was fast and the food was delicious. They were able to adjust to our request for vegetarian fare. Their brewed coffee was a bit strong for me, but maybe fine for others. They have cakes too....
