Came in at noon and it was low-tide, so one could actually see the trash under the sea (23 tires counted!) and smell the foul breeze coming from the how polluted the waters were. Those should’ve been our sign to just leave and find a different place, but I guess we just had to bear the stench since we travelled quite far and the idea of a floating restaurant was quite enticing. We ordered baked scallops (which came out to be REALLY small! I even complained to the waitress: “Unsa mani?? Murag mga kugmo!”), sinugba na saang (very sandy, God knows what else those creatures had caught), crispy pata (which was a total mistake on my dad’s part cuz why would you order non-seafood on a “floating restaurant”; anyway, he was disgusted by how much the meat wasn’t even fresh), and sinigang na hipon (which was the only thing we ate out of all we ordered). The service was good, but the hygiene was questionable. The place made it seem like it didn’t have running water… it did, but that was how unsanitary everything was. Speaking of which, my sister had food poisoning after. We had to pump her with water and Pepto; she’s recovering as of this moment I am typing this.
Would I recommend this to any one of my friends? Hell NO. It’s a tourist trap restaurant. But suppose you’re dragged into this fantasy of a “floating restaurant” which is raved by people who haven’t had the opportunity to actually compare to better ones, good luck. Expect to be wrapped in sewer breeze, to be at risk of food poisoning (read: unfit for human consumption), and to be served mediocre food.
To the owner of the restaurant: do better. Also, charging for parking is insane and nothing has been done to renovate that parking space (heads up to car owners: pot holes galore). And instead of adding into the tourist trap hole with those “one thousand flowers”, please clean up the shores. That’s what makes an island beautiful: clean shores/mangroves/areas. Not one thousand...
Read moreThe ambiance was almost right while we were waiting to be seated it was a warm summer night with a slight breeze then by the entrance to the restaurant you can smell the nice aroma coming from their kitchen. And when we entered the dining area it was a nice open air very casual very relaxed vibe then we were seated at table 26. Then we were immidiately attacked by mosquitoes mainly biting us on the thighs and legs. But still we ordered or at least tried to, all their waiters and attendants were too busy and took us 20mins to get a waiter and when we finally managed to place our orders most of the dishes that we liked to order was not available anymore or out of stock. Inspite of the long wait for our orders to be taken it only took a while for some of them to arrive the last one of which was our sizzling pork sisig which was not sizzling anymore apparently our waiter forgot to serve this to us. Our neighboring tables were served with sizzling sisig on the spot and upon reaching the table they pour the souce which made it sizzled were as ours was just mixed the fresh egg on top didnt even cook because it was already cold they didnt even try to re heat it and that just made the dish yucky to eat. On the lighter side we did like the cordova express, fianlly we just stood up and paid for our meal ourselves at the cashier for fear of acquiring more...
