Taytayan Pinoy Restaurant — Restaurant in Cordova

We arrived at around 8:30pm on a Sunday evening and were surprised there were only two tables occupied, including ours. A courteous and friendly crew accommodated us, took our orders, and kept updating us of the status of our orders. We were serenaded with a live acoustic guitar from the 80's classic songs. We had Tinolang Bisayang Manok (native chicken stew), Grilled Fish, Kinilaw na Isda (Philippine Ceviche), Tinolang Isda (stewed fish), and paired them with Garlic Fried Rice. All of the dishes tasted good. Ambiance is so clean with native handmade hanging lamps to light the dining area. Their toilets are also clean. My family had a great Sunday evening...

Food: Took out one star just because of how little the serving can be especially if you're coming as a family. We didn't expect the volume of the serving as we assumed it would be bigger due to the price per meal. But other than that, food tastes very great and worth it.

Service: Staff who attended to us was very accommodating all throughout.

Atmosphere: It's better to eat here at night for better atmosphere so you don't see the stack of soil for construction beside the establishment but even during the day families will still enjoy the mini playground and caged animals...

🍽️ The food was generally delicious, although some of the soy sauce-marinated dishes like the BBQ, sisig, and tuna panga leaned toward the salty side. These are staples for Filipino families, so a bit more balance in seasoning would go a long way.

🌟 The place has a great ambiance with relaxing live acoustic music. I just wish the speakers were set at a lower volume to match the mellow vibe the performers were creating.
