A rustic place with a unique dining experience. If you crave French cuisine, then this place is hard to beat! The staff are very accomodating and the ambience shows quite some character. As for the food, portion sizes are what you would expect for the price. My family appreciated the fact that the dishes weren't heavily seasoned and had a good balance of flavors that fortunately aren't Filipinized. The star of the show was definitely their Ficelle Picarde! I was however disappointed with their Beef Stroganoff as it had a strong metallic flavor which overpowered the sauce for me. Even though some dishes are available with rice, I would implore those who want to dine here to pair their meals with pasta and bread instead. They also sell some unique purple-tinted vinegars for Php 120 and a big bottle of Honey for Php 500 Baguettes and Sourdough breads are freshly baked and sold during weekends. While the journey to get here may have taken me through a few shady areas, it was ultimately worth it. Compliments to the chef and staff!

I must admit, the boho vibes lured me here. I normally don't go out Sundays for lunch, but I woke up on a Sunday morning and convinced my whole family to come here for lunch. And, the place was exactly how I expected it to be. Boho vibes, high ceiling and Paris artifacts everywhere, lots of green and you can feel a calm energy upon entering. The food was perfect, especially the fresh spring roll wrapped in rice paper served with peanut sauce, and the shakshuka. I'm vegan but made an exception because the shakshuka was so good. My sister had crepes and this too was divine. I saw some customers working on their laptops and I thought I might be able to work here too on some days. I hoped they make croissants again. The lady said they did before. The place reminded me a lot of the vegan cafes in Bali. 10 out 10 for me.😍 Just a few things, the resto is 30min from Matina where I live, and the outside entrance can be underwhelming. But don't let this put you off. The inside is a "diamond in the rough".

The hype is real!! The homey ambience and mouth-watering dishes will make you want to stay. We tried their La Bernaise salad (yoghurt dressing), Pasta Lorine, spring roll, carbonade flamanade (pork beer stew) and cheese platter. They make their own yoghurt. I’m not a fan of sourdough bread but theirs is soft and not so salty. Their cheese platter have lot of variants, especially love their jalapeno cheese and it’s just P399! Their wine is not so expensive too. We’re glad we’re able to secure a seat on a Sunday. They get full sometimes. They also have a kawa bath (will try it next time!). I’m always excited for dessert and for this food trip- i tried their Parisian flan and carrot cake. Parisian flan is like an egg flan. Both are not too sweet and the frosting are a joy to see melting in your tongue. And what i like best? Their staff are very attentive and well-versed with the menu. They will recommend choices for you.

Farm & bistro as "one" in the city?! Yes it is! A combination of a cafe/bistro/resto and a dairy-urban farm. La Fermette means "tiny farm" in French. A less than 30-minute drive from our place, South of the city. The bonus is the newly-paved wide access roads & rows of coconut trees, farms & green open spaces with cool, fresh air along the way to the location. Very easy to find, we used WAZE and it was perfect/accurate. Has heard a lot about this French-Pinoy fusion, organic resto/farm from social media sites. Finally, we made it on this lazy, gloomy Sunday afternoon for some uppers: a cake ( MANGO CHARLOTTE - which was not so sweet, much to my delight...) and Mocha Au Lait for me and brewed coffee for the hubby. Too bad we had lunch already - but for sure, we’ll be back to try their main dishes ( pasta and salad, pls) plus the much-raved about French baguettes & chocolate cake. I want to try their basil cheesecake and French eclair, too. What about the farm? Get this - we witnessed the milking of one of their cows named Dolly by one of its owners, Eric, who was wonderful enough to share some “milking the cow” tips literally. Haha! :) Customer experience here is excellent - warm and friendly staff. Kids would love it here as they can get to run with the chickens, ducks and witness the actual "milking of cow" activity which happens most of the time. Pretty cool! The milk they get are for their own consumption in the resto - milk, cheese and their Kevir yogurt. All animals are organically-fed, too. This resto is one of the very first certified organic restaurants in the city. Homey and refreshing ambiance with tasteful, colorful interiors, too. So IG-worthy. Feel the farm setting with fresh air cum electric fan, rough/stoned floors and so many plants, blooms and big trees around. Glad we have this place near our part of the metro where going here will also give you breathtaking views of all greens and nature along the road ( as opposed to big buildings and malls). Highly recommended! Definitely will be back soon with family and friends!...
