We have eaten here 4 times as of writing this. When we have gone it's always been when we have company.

When we go we usually get 3 or 4 items and a couple different kinds of rice. The serving size are quite large so everyone shares and gets different things.

I don't like seafood so for me the selection is very limited , I eat fried chicken and or chicken chow mein . Everyone else eats calamari, shrimp and fish usually. I wish they had a few more things for non seafood lovers but this is the Philippines and most people like seafood.

We always eat at one of the outdoor cottages they have and enjoy the overlooking view of the city. In my opinion the view there is nicer than Jacks Ridge. To get a cottage they do post a sign saying you need to order at least p1500 of food but since there are usually 4 to 6 of us thats not a problem. There prices though are quite reasonable combined with the large portion sizes, even there drinks are reasonably priced. I think a group of 4 or more can eat cheaper than Jacks Ridge but they do not have as many things to choose from as Jacks Ridge but both places are fairly close to each other.

Get there about 5:30 and you can watch the view as it gets dark.

It usually takes about 30 minutes for the food to arrive but it's always freshly cooked and hot. It has a nice ambiance but bugs of some sort are always a nuisance, usually ants and mosquitoes especially after dark. We always take a can of off repellant with us and that helps a lot.

I would give it 4 stars if they had more non seafood dishes but the family seems to like there food pretty well and the kids spend the whole time taking selfies from every place they can.

We will defiantly go back , especially when we have company . I have never heard one complaint from anyone I have taken...

One of the best family-friendly restaurants in Davao. Vista View RESTO offers an amazing view of the city any time of the day.

Vista View is situated on the highland portion of Langub. The restaurant offers an alfresco dining experience. For a minimum order of 1,500PHP, you may opt to dine in one of their nipa huts. Their menu mainly consists of Filipino dishes. My personal favorites are their bulad rice, lechon kawali and sinigang.

They have clean separate comfort rooms for men and women. They have parking space outside, good for 5-6 vehicles. The area allows side parking during peak hours; also, newly arrived customers will have to wait at the entrance when the restaurant is operating at full capacity. They may, however, roam around and take pictures while in queue.

For me, the best time to dine at Vista View is during dinner time. Consequently, many come to the restaurant and some flock at the entrance, waiting for available seats. Sadly, Vista View DOES NOT ACCEPT reservations on friday, saturday and sunday. They only do walk-ins or first come, first serve basis on those days.

Customer service is on another level. Service attendants single-handedly carry large circular trays with heavy plates which is amusing to watch. They are easy-going and professional at the same time. Serving time is usually 20-30 mins., depending on the type of dish and amount of orders in the kitchen. So far, there had been no disappointing...

Food is great, view is great. Even during the pandemic, a lot of people are here during night time not just for the food but to see a great view of lights overlooking the City of Davao.

We arrived at 7pm and almost can’t find a table for us, too many people. It was drizzling and bit windy, it was very cold for me 😁 but was just okay for my husband and son.

They have a lot of food choices which wont disappoint you, and they’re really tasty. Just make sure you have the patience for the food to be served because waiting time for us was one hour. If you’re lucky, then food can be served in just 30 mins or 45. Too many people even during the pandemic, probably because Davao City is already in alert level 1. But despite that, it’s really worth coming here.

As to the price, it’s almost the same as other restos. Oh, I just remembered, don’t order beef steak, it was priced at 450 yet, you have to have the teeth to really chew haha, it was not...

I was amazed by the location of Vista View Resto. Since it's December, the wind is cool just like in Buda. I really like the place because it's over looking all over Davao City. Five Star for their native chicken, they call it "Binakol". I may not know the meaning though. Three Star for the Sizzling Gambas. Halang. Pero dili lami, the same rate for the Imbao soup-kulang sa lasa. Four star for the Sizzling Pusit, you should eat it first while it's hot. Their minimum rate for the Kubo is 1,500php. You should have a budget if you're going to have a date there.

Night view best left and right, you can see most of the city lights of Davao from here. This is a place if you like cultural dinner. Seafood is so nice, bagaybay, kinilaw, among others. If you order Lapu Lapu sweet and sour ask how big is it first. We got a very small one and was dissappointed although it tastes good and crunchy. Good place if you are a big group. Best if you go there early esp. on weekends as parking is only on the side of the road and waiting time takes longer esp. there are more customers. Waiters are attentive and approacheable.
