I had the pleasure of dining at Lolo Kings in Donsol, and it was an absolute treat! I tried their mozzarella sticks, sourdough pizza, hand-pulled pasta, and home-brewed ginger beer—all of which were incredibly delicious. As an added surprise, the owner personally prepared dynamite sticks, which weren’t even on the menu.

What stood out the most was the clear intention to use high-quality ingredients in every dish. It’s rare to find such attention to detail, especially in a quiet town like Donsol. The experience was made even more special by watching the team prepare the dishes right in front of me. Also a plus that it’s not that expensive!

I stayed a few months in Donsol, and I can formally say that Loloking is the best place to eat, chill, and chat in the area! Emjay is a wonderful openminded person who loves to cook, and makes you feel comfortable in her really nice place! She opened her doors to me and made me feel like I was home, every time I entered her place! She cooks amazingly pastas and pizza, and a really good gingerbeer, everything is homemade! She also helps everyone with their plans, with really good advice about her province, (what to see, where to sleep, where to eat, how to rent a bike, what to do)! She can tell you what you can visit in the area, with places that you won’t see in any tourist books or on the internet. Fantastic local place. Food is delicious and surprisingly authentic, pizza dough is soft and chewy. Yum!! The owner is fantastic, really friendly and happy to chat to guests. She even taught us how to play a local game with shells. She sources her ingredients as much as possible locally including local cheese. Many of the places in the Phillipinnes we have tried had disappointing fake cheese but not here !!!! It's also the only place I've found in the Phillipinnes that serves drinks without sugar! Customers can add as much as they want. It's a real stand out among the super sugary drinks around. And prices are good too.
