Angkol’s Boneless Lechon — Restaurant in Dumaguete

Don't judge a book by its cover! We were staying next door in a wee hotel and didn't want to travel into town... So we decided to try this place... To be honest it didn’t look the part from the outside nonetheless, we ordered their famous pork with crackling. It only took them 20 mins for the food to arrive, and it looked magificent! The whole outside of the pork had lovely hard crackling and the pork inside was cooked to perfection. Wasn't dry at all. It was served with delicious rice... First time I got here was good, we had an afternoom date with my man but the third time was so disappointing bc it was Mother's Day and the resto was full and there's a bunch of customers waiting for the lechon and imagine a fully-occupied grill with only 1 crew? Wth? Srsly man, then they haven't told us ahead that the lechon are fully-reserved so we were effin waiting for nothing. Ghad. Please. Hire at least 5 crews. Though it was still...

Despite asking only for cup of rice we got full plate of it. According to waitress this is how they serve it. Everybody else we saw got regular volume so I am not sure what to think of it. Maybe we just misunderstood each other. Coke was served in extra small bottel (200 ml). Original Lechon was good, a sauce that went with sizzling gambas delicious. All the food was ready pretty fast.
