I was about to remove this review cos I just want to leave my review on Agoda and Airbnb but I noticed that the owner added comments more. I realized they are not open to feedbacks and unapologetic. With all the complains I mentioned, they never said sorry for a single thing.
Just an advice to never accuse a guest and tell them they are dishonest without proof. It is not about the charge I was complaining but the allegations that the owner is insisting that we used the aircon which we haven't. If a guest really did a thing, confront them personally, just do not leave a negative review with bad accusations after they are home. You have staffs, let them check the guest room before they let the guests leave. It is the proper way.
The Pool is Pretty and Rooms are cheap BUT..
When we arrived at 3pm, the rooms were not ready yet.. they were still looking what rooms to prepare.. They offered an aircon room since there was no longer fan room available but asked us an xtra charge of 400php if we use the aircon so we decline.. We didn't really use the aircon but they made allegations that we used it..
Rooms were not freshly cleaned bcos they were in a rush when we arrived. bathroom stinks!
Water in the bathrooms almost reached near the beds, no stopper between the bedroom and bathroom. No curtains as well.. No water absorbent mat to use for wet feet or floor.. My friend slipped once and almost hit his back..
We had cooked foods with us becos we plan to eat those at Salagdoong Beach but it was close. We were told we can't eat outside foods since they have a Restaurant but thankfully staffs were accomodating and let us eat those unless if we order (just understandable bcos its business) but looked Food were expensive with very small servings.. for ₱180 just Silog.. the pic on the menu does not match the actual food served. 2 eggs in the menu pic but only got 1 egg served. They didn't even know how to cook a well done egg with that price!

Read moreWe booked 1 week ahead on Booking, and messaged twice with no response. When we arrived, turns out they'd triple booked our room. We could only stay one night instead of two. Very disappointed. Instead they offered for us to stay down at Ocean View instead. We decided to switch to Ocean View instead of staying 1 night in each place. Then we met another couple at Ocean View who also originally booked at Bangka.
I think they deliberately over book. The boss does not give the other workers access to Booking, so they cannot check who actually booked. Instead, they are given a list of expected arrivals. The boss was also out of town we arrived, and there was an Internet outage (both cellular and WiFi) so getting in contact took about 30 minutes.
Strangely, Ocean View cannot be booked online. It was actually lovely staying there as it has beach access and the owner is very friendly.
I got the feeling from the owner of Ocean View that she often takes in guests from Bangka.
Also we ate a meal here. The adobo was really good! The sauce was so delicious and presented excellently. The chef is clearly talented. However, we ordered a cucumber juice pitcher with "no extra sugar", when it came, it was very sweet. I think they explained that the syrup is already sweet only after it arrived and we complained about the sweetness.
I think the workers here are actually quite nice, but the boss...
