Akiro Farm Café - GMA, Cavite — Restaurant in General Mariano Alvarez

First time at this semi- hidden alfresco cafe/resto. I was surprised to find choices of open tables and nipa huts at the sides. There was a duo band as it is Saturday night. The singers sang fairly well and imvited guests to sing along. The wait staff were wearing local Filipino costumes w/c blended with the overall Pinoy theme. We chose Filipino fare- fresh lumpia, sizzling chicken sisig, ensaladang tagalog, baked tahong with cheese, Japanese fried rice and Tuyo pasta (one I had never had before). The food was good and tasty. Fairly priced for the quality with most dishes ranging from almost Php200-400. Enjoyed the banana con hielo and coffee jelly dessert. Parking is ok but since we had an SUV, it became a little tight when a motocycle parked perpendicular to the opposite wall. I suggest they have motorcycles do parallel parking (when parking opposite) to provide maneuvering room for SUVs. The wait staff were friendly and accomodating. We Celebrated our wedding here the ambiance is really good,the design, decorations are really good, the cake is great, the food is really good, but the problem is with the serving. Im not sure why but most of our guest said that they are been given so little amount of serving , please do improve this , cause i feel embarrassed that my guest was not able to eat their fill. Since the servers are providing only too few amounts per serving. We have got a lot of feed back from them that we and my wife are not aware of, its like the servers are holding it off to serve the foods. A bit dismayed when the food were served. The lechon kawali was good. Daughter liked it. Pancit canton was not warm. Disgusted with the big flies. Ruined the stay but it was understandable because its a farm and there is a near poultry. The smell was not that obvious for me. I was disappointed on the pace or reaction by the staff in addressing the issue. We already finished our food when they gave us a candle to prevent the flies. Staff were friendly though
