Yesterday, we visited Cafe de Margaux to relax and unwind. We ordered Truffle Mushroom and Swiss Pizza to pair with some cocktails. We started with a Lychee Martini, followed by a Classic Mojito. After just three sips, my companion noticed from his angle that there was a caterpillar in my drink and immediately informed me.

I called a waitress over to check, and after taking a look, she confirmed it was indeed a small caterpillar. She told us she would return it to the bartender. I was shocked and, after a moment, decided I didn’t want a replacement Mojito—I couldn’t stop imagining the caterpillar even if they will serve a fresh one. Instead, I asked if we could replace it with a different drink.

Shortly after, a staff member, who might have been the manager, approached us, apologized, and asked which drink we’d like as a replacement. A few minutes later, she served us an Amaretto Sour and told us it was complimentary.

After finishing our drinks, we asked for the bill, only to find that we were still being charged for the Classic Mojito. I brought it up with the waitress, and she returned with a revised bill.

I’m not sure what was going on with their service last night, but I hope they improve moving forward. Just a tip, if you order a Mojito there, make sure to check it thoroughly...

Poor customer service.

I ordered buffalo chicken wings and upon biting on the 2nd chicken it came out bloody to the point that the blood oozed out my plate.

I told the waiter and the waiter asked me what do i want to do with it like should i want a new batch or have it reheated?

I was taken aback because i worked in the food industry and this is the first time i was asked what would i want to do with my order when i was expecting for an apology and be offered a replacement so it took me a few seconds to answer and said i want a new batch for which the server confirmed upon taking the chicken away.

Few moments later he handed me the same chicken that was just reheated. So now i could still taste the cooked blood and that my chicken that is supposed to be tender is now harder.

It was my favorite from their menu so i know how it should taste and i was really excited to feast on my meal but ended up so disappointed and unsatisfied with my craving.

And no i did not complain again as i have companion and wouldn't want to come off rude but i really am so not pleased with my meal i'm sobbing inside.

I don't think i'll be coming back...

Cafe de Margaux is near Mt. Fuji Japanese Restaurant in Guiguinto. Coffee is good. We ordered capuccino, mocha, machiatto, frappe, vanilla, and all are good. Mushroom soup is good. Service is good. Waiters are friendly and accomodating. Place is clean and the staff are courteous. This coffeeshop is well-designed, from tables and chairs, to wall decors, to lightings and other stuff. Their music is relaxing, just to add. We were approached by the Owner (I guess) and she offered us some promo on Valentine's Day. We also got some PBA tickets as our bill was above P700. Haven't tried their meal yet though. Will update this review if we get the chance to try their food. Try this coffeeshop if you are...

Had late dinner, drinks, dessert, and coffee here with friends on a Saturday night. Place was packed... Luckily a big group was about to leave when we arrived. They had an acoustic band which would be okay for some, but if you're planning to have chit chats maybe not cos it can get loud. Dinner was so-so. Servings were small for the price except for the bagnet tofu sisig. Though, they have this unlimited mojito which was sulit cos di sya like other places na diluted like juice lang if unli. Desserts (not in the photo) were okay as well. The sansrival and tres leches we loved! Blueberry cheesecake not so good. Overall, would still recommend the place for the ambiance and cleanliness!
