We were in total 8 people and tried to get a seat at the actual restaurant but they couldn’t accommodate us even though there were free tables and sent us to the cafe ilocandia downstairs. So we went downstairs and said that they sent us down there, they had NO MENU to show to us and we asked if we could go up to see the menu and order. We went upstairs AGAIN and we couldn’t apparently order ( it would have been better the cafe ilocandia said that instead of sending us up) so we were sent back to cafe ilocandia downstairs again. THAT ITSELF WAS CONFUSING & NOT ACCOMODATING AT ALL. After getting our order fixed downstairs at cafe ilocandia; We received NO service water, NO cutlery and NO plates (while all the other tables were given). The main course arrived before the appetizers plus the plates and cutlery and tissue were not there still. We kept asking for the soy sauce and dipping sauce for the spring roll since they served the food. They just gave one dipping bowl for 8 people 🤣. I have never experienced one dipping bowl for 8 people. We kept requesting three times for more sauce dipping bowls, chili and calamansi. The dimsum ended up being cold by the time they gave us the sauce🥲 We asked to identify what food is it, she responded I dont know. No proper response or asked help from the head waiter. We felt the staff was very inattentive. I understand that we had to wait for the food since the main restaurant is on the second floor but the restaurant should have the same standard and a little smile wouldn't hurt. I honestly was looking forward to this chinese dining experience but I’m sadly disappointed. I value good service, and this experience was below expectations. I hope steps will be taken to improve.

Chinoys from Manila rave about the superior quality of hakaw, chicken feet and assorted congees at this tea house inside Fort Ilocandia. Locals reserve Red 8 for special occasions and meetings. Bump into government officials, businessmen, balikbayans and tourists. Other offerings: Cantonese and Taiwanese dishes and assorted roasted...

The food is not good. Lacks taste. Portion ok but not worth it if the taste us bland. Service is really poor. Staff needs to be trained in the industry they are at. No hospitality manners whatsoever. The place smells like a moldy place....
