I asked someone to pick me up some food for dinner, so I can't comment on atmosphere or service, only the food. Here's what I ordered:
Pepperoni pizza - absolutely delicious. Much closer to what you find in Italy or New York City than any other place I've tried in the Philippines. The sauce was rich and flavorful, not overloaded with sugar like most places here. The cheese seemed to be all mozzarella, nice and gooey, not a mix with other cheap cheeses like is common here. I could tell from the appearance that it wasn't a fresh mozzarella, but it was about as good as you get here. The crust was obviously hand made, with a slight char to it, telling me they most likely have a stone or brick oven. The pizza came with a small container of chili oil. Delicious!
Spaghetti aglio e olio - again, delicious. Good amount of olive oil and garlic without being overpowering. They also added some parmesan on top, which enhanced the flavors nicely. They also added something that looked like fresh bacon bits, but I'm not sure, as I couldn't puck out the flavor over the oil and garlic. Personally, I prefer this style of pasta to be slightly spicy, normally chili oil. I remedied this by adding the chili oil They provided with the pizza.
Overall, before eating, I thought they were slightly pricey compared to other local places, but after eating, it's because their quality is so much higher. They're leagues above all competition, yet the price is only a little higher. Hopefully I can go in person next time and submit...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at this exceptional establishment, and I must say, it was a truly unforgettable experience! The culinary highlights were numerous, but if I had to pick a standout, it would be the Hawaiian Pizza hands-down the best I've ever had the pleasure of devouring. The combination of flavors and textures was absolute perfection.
The Al Forno was another masterpiece, with a rich, depthful flavor profile that showcased the kitchen's skillful use of soffrito. It was clear that each component, from the pasta to the sauce, was carefully crafted to create a harmonious whole. The accompanying sourdough bread was a lovely touch, providing a delightful textural contrast to the dish.
While the Chicken Inasal was generous in portion, its flavor was somewhat standard and didn't particularly stand out from other versions I've tried. However, this minor quibble was more than made up for by the exceptional service and generous touches, such as the complimentary croquette that ended the meal on a high note. Crispy on the outside and fluffy within, it was a delightful surprise that left us smiling.
Overall, I'm more than happy to give this restaurant a resounding 10/10 recommendation. With its outstanding cuisine, attentive service, and welcoming atmosphere, it's a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a memorable...

Authentic italian cuisine made with love and passion by a husband and wife team - Italian Chef Enea and Filipina Chef Gemmalyn in the most unassuming place.
Don't let the kubo like exterior fool you, this is 100% legit authentic italian cuisine with the pizzas and some dishes cooked in a wood-fired oven.
We ordered their Truffle Pizza, Pasta Al Forno, Carbonara Original and Carbonara with Cream (penne). And they also gave us a complimentary red passion drink and roasted italian chicken to sample which were really good too. The chicken was so good that we almost ate half before realizing that we forgot to take a picture of it.
I highly recommend the Truffle Pizza and Pasta Al Forno (a recipe from Enea's nonna). Their pizza dough is hands down the best that I've ever had in the entire Negros Island.
You can also buy their sourdough bread as pasalubong, but they do sell out fast.
It's definitely worth the travel from Dumaguete and Bacolod. And we will be back soon!
Thank you Chef Enea and Chef Gemmalyn for the warm hospitality and excellent...
