Dinner Delight at LU Riverfarm Seafood Restaurant I recently had an early dinner at LU Riverfarm Seafood Restaurant in Bacnotan, and it was a delightful experience! Opting for one of their set menus, I was treated to a fantastic spread of fresh seafood and grilled meats. The star of the show was definitely the seafood. The grilled tilapia and bangus (milkfish) were cooked to perfection, with a beautiful char on the outside and perfectly flaky flesh inside. The deep-fried calamari tempura was another winner - crispy on the exterior and tender on the inside. The grilled pork chop rounded out the set menu nicely, offering a savory option for meat lovers. The ambiance of the restaurant itself was a big plus. The rustic Filipino décor created a cozy and inviting atmosphere, and the riverside location added a touch of serenity. The gentle flow of the river provided a calming backdrop to the meal. Overall, I highly recommend LU Riverfarm Seafood Restaurant to anyone visiting Bacnotan. The fresh seafood, delicious grilled options, and charming riverside setting make it a must-try! Here's a quick breakdown of the highlights: Fresh Seafood: The grilled fish and calamari were cooked perfectly, showcasing the quality of the ingredients. Set Menu: A convenient option offering a variety of dishes at a good value. Rustic Ambiance: The Filipino décor and riverside location created a relaxing atmosphere. If you're looking for a delicious and scenic dining experience in Bacnotan, look no further than LU Riverfarm Seafood Restaurant!

Review update: Unfortunately the service, food and availability of seafood is declining in the past few months. You can call yourself lucky if all dishes on the menu are available, but the most shocking was that they ran out of Tilapia even with big fish ponds on the premises. The quality of the dishes depending on the cook, the dish tastes different at any given visit in the past, until to a degree that we couldn’t eat the dishes because it was totally over salted. Service is slow and partially unfriendly. We have to reduce our rating according the experience of the last 3 month from 4🌟 to ONLY 2🌟. Initial Review: Hidden place on the river, relaxing and quiet. Friendly staff, fresh seafood right from the pond. All the time we come here we order Kilawing, they prepare it like we want it, spicy with calamansi. If they would only add some coriander. The shrimp with ampalya are great, so are the calamaris. Unfortunately only 1 CR directly next to the kitchen😰

We went ate here yesterday. We were informed that waiting time for the food to be served is 1 hour after we place our order. We agreed to it, willing to wait but still expecting that food is good and worth the wait. We ordered the Riverfarm Medley, dinengdeng, poque poque, bagnet pako ensalada, calamares, halo halo. Bagnet was served not freshly cooked, makunat ang balat at matigas na ang laman. Calamares has no sauce/dip. We asked for vinegar and catsup 3x and was served 20 minutes after 3 follow ups. Dinengdeng was served na lubog na lubog sa sabaw, cold and gulay is over cooked. Halo halo was not served at all. Sobrang labsa ng kanin. Worst is the RF Medley (inihaw na isda and liempo) it was burnt!!! In fairness, their Poque poque is okay. We ended up leaving the food on the table, did not bother to have it packed. I only had the photo of the RF Medley (inihaw). Forgot to take photos of the other dishes coz of frustration.

WORST DINING EXPERIENCE EVER! - LU RiverFarm Seafood Restaurant Father's Day Disaster

Rating: 0/5 stars

AVOID LU RiverFarm Seafood Restaurant AT ALL COSTS! Our experience on Father's Day, Sunday, June 15, was an unmitigated disaster from start to finish.

We arrived with a large group, including my family and my mom's friends. The table arrangement was laughable - cramped, uncomfortable, and clearly not designed for big groups. But we were willing to overlook that if the food and service were decent.

Boy, were we wrong! The service was glacially slow. We were in the restaurant for 2 hours, waiting for food that never seemed to arrive. When it finally did, it was lackluster. The seafood was overcooked, cold, and tasted more like frozen leftovers than fresh catches.

But the service? Abysmal. Our server seemed completely overwhelmed, disinterested, and untrained. We had to ask multiple times for simple things like water, utensils, and refills. And don't even get me started on the cleanliness of the restaurant - dirty tables, chairs, floors, and bathrooms. It was like they hadn't cleaned the place in weeks!

The worst part? The management didn't seem to care. No apologies, no explanations, no effort to make things right. Just a complete and utter lack of concern for customer satisfaction.

We eventually got up and left, never to return again. The experience was so bad that we wouldn't even consider giving them another chance.

If you value your time, money, and sanity, stay far, far away from LU RiverFarm Seafood Restaurant. Trust me, you won't regret it.

UPDATE: The restaurant has made no effort to respond to or apologize for our terrible experience. This only reinforces my belief that they're not interested in providing good customer service or ensuring customer satisfaction. AVOID THIS RESTAURANT...

Despite booking our reservation one day in advance and paying the reservation fee for the river cruise, we even confirmed to them if anyone booked it first they said no one, it seems the restaurant failed to properly manage their reservations. When we arrived early for our reservation, they allowed us to order our food and even served the plates and glass. However, it was only after this point that they informed us that someone else had booked the place before us, and that they were a larger group of 18 people and we are only 5 paxs. This lack of communication and organization on the part of the restaurant is unacceptable. we rightfully questioned whether they were telling the truth about the other reservation, as it seems odd that they wouldn't have mentioned it to us before allowing us to order our food and be served. Additionally, the fact that they allowed us to get comfortable before informing us of the conflict is very unprofessional. Overall, I would not recommend this floating restaurant based on our experience. The poor management of reservations and lack of communication leaves a lot to be desired in terms of...
