Bubbles is special to us not only because of their fabulous Crispy Pata that once you taste it, you'll keep coming back but because their first Lucena branch was located in my wife's family's ancestral house. This was built in the 1930's and withstood the Second World War and the test of time. It was one of Lucena's heritage houses fronting the park and Municipal Hall. They had to leave when my wife's aunt and uncle decided to sell the property.
Food - 5*, Bubbles Reyes knows Filipino comfort food. She has one of the best (the best in my opinion) Crispy Patas in the country. We call it collagen diet because all the sticky, tender and chewy tendons are rich in this. Couple this with the most succulent and tender pork leg meat and the always crispy-all-over skin then you've got a winner. She pairs this with equally good Chicken Sisig, Sinigangs, Pancit and the usual Filipino family fiesta fare.
Then to top all this, she gives us free Leche Flans and Leche Cremas plus a hefty discount on the meal. What's there not to like. After all, we have a bit of shared history.
Service - 5*, superb as always
Parking - 5*, operating in a bigger location, they now have really ample...
Read moreWe arrived at Bubbles Crispy Pata for a late lunch around 1:30 PM on a Sunday. There were quite a few customers. If you are sensitive touching things outside, be sure to bring your own alcohol. We waited to be served a medium order of crispy para, inihaw na pusit, sinigang na tanigue, a 1.5 liter coke, and 2 fresh ripe mango shakes for about an hour. It was honestly frustrating and disappointing. The restaurant is well ventilated, fully airconditioned, but if you prefer eating outdoors, there are also nipa huts outside. The food was okay. Not something you would crave for, but if you wanted to eat some seafood and crispy pata at an affordable price, this is your go...

Customers could dine either inside the restaurant, along the side of the building or in nipa huts on the left side of the building. The food is delicious. We ordered crispy liempo with bagoong, pancit chami, rice and drinks. Waiting time for the food is around 15 minutes. The staff are friendly and attentive to the customers. Will...
