I love dining at Max but my favorite is in Sta Cruz mall, Laguna. The waiters friendly seemed to remember how we like our coffee, served with evaporated milk. They have special promotions if you order Gulaman drinks in pitcher. Its free & add P 80 for a bag of goodies... 2 bags of pastries & a loaf of chocolate banana bread. We usually order the all day bfast beef tapa plate or bangsilog. Fresh lumpia is my favorite. We have come to Max on bday occasion kare-kare is great, Crispy Pata, pancit. Place is good, food is pricey and portion serving is very small. Ordered their pansit canton for almost 200 pesos and it was served in a small disposable plastic container which only good for 1 person. The pansit was soggy and the taste is like an ordinary pansit you can buy elsewhere for a very much cheaper price. The chicken was good, ordered half for the price of a whole chicken. The half chicken was very small like a little bird. Better to eat at other open air restaurants near the place with affordable price and huge...

This branch is setup strategically (on a busy area with lots of available parking) and designed beautifully inside and out, with a wonderful and accommodating customer service to boot. Unfortunately, our food was tarnished by a dead, cooked bug and chefs that tried to slither their way out of their own failure.

I can only feel sad for the waitress that seemingly was blamed for it, instead of the cooks owning up to...
