From the moment we arrived at Anihan tucked inside the Good Food Farm in Magdalena, Laguna, we knew this was going to be something special. It was tranquil, green, with a real farm-to-table feel.
We were absolutely blown away by the food, authentic Filipino cuisine taken to new heights. The flavours were true to their roots, honest and direct, yet layered with the talent and creativity of the kitchen. Itās one of the best Filipino food experiences weāve ever had.
What we especially love is the restaurantās heart and advocacy. Sourcing locally, supporting community and sustainability. As the chef shared, itās more than just serving a meal, itās about the story behind each ingredient.
We were lucky to meet and chat with Chef JR Royol himself. He took the time to personally speak with guests at each table, such a rare and genuine act that speaks volumes about his passion and humility.
A huge shoutout as well to the entire team for their warmth and hospitality, especially Ahwin, who made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived.
This place isnāt just about great food, itās about heart, connection, and love for Filipino culture. We canāt wait to go...

I wanted to visit this place since last year, but for some reason, something always comes up. Luckily, when we were already sure of our visit, they just opened their Sustainable Gastronomy by Chef RJ, and to our surprise from food presentation to tastes of their dishes, it was delish. It was nice having lunch surrounded by nature. Staffs are respectful and attentive to customers need. MUST visit...
