Ricardo's by Cucina Higala — Restaurant in Manolo Fortich

We booked for Family dinner yesterday (20th April) for group of 11 packs @7pm.

Firstly very good setup artistic space. We are greeted by staff in front nicely. We are 15 mins early and be seated in a very comfy long table.

We did our first order around 7 pm then a staff came around 7:20 pm saying the last order for food would be 7:30 pm.

For me thinking at the point i was annoyed because its our fistt time in the restaiurant and @720 pm we still waiting for our order to be serve the saying we only have limited time.

Explained to staff and nicely staff give us time to have the last order once we tasted the food.

But another downfall is they have dessert which only limited to order to 2 cakes and mango float i think. - so at that time swrvice for me is very upsetting.

We only ate the dinner thats all i need to take my kids to 7-11 to have their dessert which should be cater for us in the first place.

My suggestion would be if they will tke a 7 pm booking at least they should give us an hour for their last call order to be given a chance for the customer to try and taste their specialty.

Food - is good in someways Ricardos special beef is good beef baka / lumpiang shnghai is fantastic And the clamares. kare kare we are not a fun as it is deconstructive in a way that hasnt got any meat to taste on it. - hope this would improved. Baby back ribs is mouthering for the tenderness. Pitcher drinks is very refreshing.

To all staff they greeted you with smile but there is point that we need to wait longer for staff to attend us in our needs.

To be honest its not busy at the time we are there. But of course if we are given i will re visit the place and check if its change.

May 29, 2025 Birthday Celebration.

Negative: I submitted my orders April 22nd. On May 29th, there were a lot of changes and cancellations. Kare-kare and Mango shakes is not available. Exactly the same day of the celebration. I told them to serve the food by 12noon. When we get there, the food is not served and set up. I then asked them to serve the food for the kids as they are starving. Yes, they serve the chicken ASAP, but no cutleries. My nephew ended up using his mouth in eating the rice because he was extremely hungry. The good thing is I was able to book a private space because of the amount of the order I have to pay. I feel so sorry for my nephew watching him eating his food without any spoon nor fork. As per my brother, the Humba has after taste to it.

Positive: The ambiance is really good. I love the private room that was being provided to us. The presentation is highly satisfactory. The serving is fair enough for the price. As per my nephew, he likes the fried chicken. My niece loves the Korean burger. The Calamares is very good. The mango cake is highly satisfactory. In total, the food and presentation is very good. In addition, the service is ok. I would really like to suggest for the staffs to have initiative in terms of listening to instructions and cutleries must be provided...
