2nd experience: They have relocated. and I've adjusted my atmosphere rating from 4 stars to a perfect 5. The main road is still dark but the place at around 5kms from Pico Sands Hotel is a quick drive. Their menu and food is still great! If you are going to eat here from a full packed Pico Sands Weekend I suggest go earlier so by the time you go back you get better parking spots at the Pico Sands Hotel, since people usually go out by 7PM for dinner, get their parking slots.
1st experience: If you are going to dine here first time at night, the surrounding areas are really dark with no street lights and you would think you are at the wrong place. BUT the place is well lit and the dining experience is al fresco. Place is ok even if you bring kids. The crew is polite and attentive will guide you when you park.
Their servings are okay to generous. Ensalada is a big bowl good for 3-4 people. They have a generous serving of sinigang na hipon (10-12 pcs!) with plenty of veggies. The lechon kawali serving is okay but so happened we got the part with more meat (few fat and skin).
Near perfect score except for that scent of maybe sewage occasionally when the wind blows a certain direction. Not a deal breaker though.
It's a great alternative if you've been dining at Pico Sands and you get tired of their ala carte menu/buffet for a quarter of the price. They accept...
Read moreWas looking for a decent restaurant near Pico de Loro before checking in and came across this restaurant. Reviews were favorable. So we tried it out.
Pros: they accept credit card Ample parking Nice ambience upstairs
Cons: Small servings. They say good for 2-3 but in reality only good for 1 or 1/2. So pricey for little serving Food not that great. Salty Pusit sa gata, salty and sobra maasim bistek, and Lomi is very forgettable They charge you 30 pesos for each take out container. They dont even inform you, if they did, we wouldve eaten the 3 pcs of pusit instead of making it a take out. Not much people but waiters dont even proactively refill your water.
Not going back. Sorry for the...
Read moreThe wife was craving for grilled food during our stay at Pico de Loro. Good thing, our host mentioned Kristyan’s Grill prior. We tried it out for lunch before heading back home to Pasig. There are two Kristyan’s Grills and we tried the first one from Pico de Loro—a quaint place with provincial feels to it. One can easily spot it nestled along the highway. Food is good and we know it’s good if we go seconds on our rice. We tried the bulalo, shrimp, squid and chicken, and halo-halo for dessert. A must when you’re in the area. I just wish they had...
