We were looking for a most recommended bulalo restaurant near Canyon Cove, and this came up as the leader. They can offer at least 3 parking slots right in front of the restaurant. We felt the humidity of the place since they only use electric fans. The female server was attentive in taking our orders. She told us ahead that we would wait for about 30 minutes for the food to be served, but actually we waited for an hour, which I understood as they have the prepare those from scratch. However, they pulled off with their food. Their bulalo was very competitive against the ones we have tasted! Their kinilaw na isda is sooo refreshing! - I could taste the freshly squeezed coconut milk. We also enjoyed the sisig! We always said “masarap” to each food we ordered! Although the place can be hot and humid, but their food...

First off, good service. We went with our 4 month old and they were quick to position the fan towards our baby. We went for lunch and the place isn't air conditioned so it was noticeably hot.

After eating, they quickly obliged when we asked for a disposable container with ice where we can put our baby's milk bottle.

Ambiance was good, a bit hot for lunch though. Food was good, typical home cooked meal. We ordered sweet and sour pork, chopsuey, and baked scallops.

Sweet and sour pork - slightly different from the usual Chinese flavor. A bit more in the sweet side. Pork was fatty but just okay.

Chopsuey - peppery, good helping of seafood

Baked scallops - okay flavor, needs more garlic for me....

We ate there just now. Such a disappointment. We were promised that the buttered seafood platter was bestseller. I don't think so. The shrimp, mussels, and the small crabs were not fresh and were overcooked. Not worth the 1,600 price tag. Bulalo was so-so and the ice tea was more sugar than tea. Service was non-existent and they had the gall to charge 10% service. Yaiks. We had to cough up P2,600 for a so-so meal for 3 adults and 2 kids (using 2 pwd discount cards pa). Not worth it.

This place used to be a nice family place for vacationers wanting simple and affordable homecooked meal. This is not the case...

We had a great experience at L Bulalo's! The food was absolutely delicious—definitely worth the wait. The serving time was a bit longer, but they made sure to give us a heads-up, which we appreciated. Parking is quite limited, with space for only about 3-4 cars, so we had to park beside 7-Eleven. As for the ambiance, it’s simple and not too eye-catching, but it still gives a cozy and welcoming vibe. Overall, a solid place to enjoy a great meal!

8月18日 : It was our last chance to explore some beaches near Manila before saying goodbye to the Philippines. Lucky enough, we found this place coz it's the one and only Bulalo restaurant in the vicinity. Aside from Bulalo, we also had Seafood Chopsuey which was tasty too, and fresh fruit shakes. Souvenirs are sold here like Barako Coffee and Muscovado Sugar. Really is a one-stop shop! Salamat po..🕊️🙏🍀
