The Beanery

Orani, Bataan

We've been here more than three times. We never get disappoint norhave regret in every visit we had, and in every food we ordered. From the appetizer, main course, dessert, and drinks. To share, our favorites are Kani Mango Salad, Baby Back Ribs, Crepe, Green Tea Frappe.

They're servings are price worthy even its quality and taste. Try the Kani Mango Salad with some Nori, it is good for 2 to 3 persons as an appetizer. The pork baby back ribs really worth the price, good for 2 persons sharing, but it is plated for one person only. It is huge, tender and almost slipped from the bones. They have pasta and vegetarian dishes and non-pork menu. Other rice dishes are worth eating served with side dishes. We always leave the restaurant with dessert as take home 'pasalubong'.

The ambiance is a cozy trendy which are all picture perfect and artistically arranged. The area is spacious with several seats and tables. Staff are professionally mannered and they can get a good shot of memories in your visit.

Don't miss this restaurant whenever you get to Bataan, like what we did. You will really...

not working from anywhere friendly

i dined here at 2:40pm. asked the staff if they have a wall socket, then pointed me to a table near the post/column. then ordered a cake and frap. since i needed to get my work done, i opened my laptop then plugged it in the wall socket. few moments later, staff advised me that i will be charged 30 pesos for the electricity, i said OK. right after i full charged my laptop, i removed it from the plug (it is less than an hour as it has 70% batt before i plugged it in) and by 6pm, i went to the counter. they are charging me 90 pesos for the 3 hours i stayed, like wut?? i told the staff that i did not charged for 3hrs long, and estimated 1 hr of use only to charge my gadgets. i know it's settled but i just wanted to share my experience. they're not the same with SB, Coffee Bean, Coffee Project and any coffee shops in Manila, so don't expect the same treatment here. i just don't like what i felt that time so...

The anticipation for my Baby Back ribs turned into frustration as I watched my friends nearly finish their meals while mine was taking ages. When the ribs finally arrived, the disappointment set in – they were excessively sweet and had an unexpected chewiness. Seeking confirmation, I consulted my friends, and their expressions mirrored my discontent. Sadly, I left a significant portion of my meal untouched. 😭 This dining experience falls far from recommendation.

Adding salt to the wound, considering the amount of money I paid for that meal, I felt I deserved a better culinary experience. 😥However, the establishment does have its merits. The aesthetically pleasing ambiance adds a positive note, and the menu, with its extensive selection of drinks, pastries, and meals, at least offers variety. Yet, the culinary letdown overshadowed these redeeming qualities, leaving me with a regretful...

The food is good, although the pasta I ordered was served cold and it took almost an hour. You'd think that in that amount of time it took for them to serve it that it will be fresh and at the very least warm. Then the raspberry iced tea I ordered for a drink came almost half an hour much later. I followed up my order for about ten times before it arrived. The service is just absolutely slow. This place is not advisable if you have a time to consider or if you have other places to be.
