My wife and I went here for dinner. It was hard to locate the place using Google Map. The street it is located on looks like a residential street with a dead end. You need to go to the end of the street then turn right. It is then easily distinguished by a hobbit-hole entrance.

The ambiance is rather pleasant and homey. There are lots of vegetation around and inside the restaurant. The two dining rooms are fully air conditioned. A closer-to-nature alfresco area is also accessible by going downstairs, past the pizza station.

The menu is of different cuisines. We ordered garden salad as starter. It was quite different from the salads I have tried so far. It is mostly fruits which tasted very fresh! The came the paella negra. The serving size is large enough for 4 people. It was very tasty, especially the socarrat. We also ordered tenderloin steak. The is no gravy but it is alright by itself.

We were very full at the end of the service. The servers were very polite and cheerful. They understand Tagalog and English so no problem there. We also met the owner who was also friendly.

Overall, the experience was good and is worth coming back to. I definitely...

This spot was hard to find but the trip was worth it!

The place is stunning and relaxing akin to off-the-radar wellness retreat locations. I like that it’s not an in-your-face luxurious spot; rather, It’s somewhat just lowkey outside and blends well with the rest of the houses and greenery. When you’re inside, it feels a bit elevated but not overtly. I love how the space was built into the vast nature behind it.

Their food was good! As a Makati-based girlie, I can compare this to the food scene in Makati (which I have high respect for, and which I think holds some of the best restaurants in Metro Manila). This blew me away because I am still yet to find really good food spots in Leyte that’s comparable to the quality of the food landscape in the metro (sorry for the comparison but it’s true).

The stars of the show for us were the Fisherman’s Plate and the Paella Negra (although this one was almost salty…almost). The menu was well thought of in my opinion and has an enjoyable variety to it. Everything else that we ordered...

The ambience is quite nice on a lush hill, but the food is abysmal. Easily one of the worst meals I've had in my life.

They put dressings to the max on every dish, and disguise the poor quality ingredients with lots of pepper.

The "taco al pastor" doesn't even deserve the Taco name. Hard shell and dressings? Ever heard of salsa?

The breaded chicken reeks of mayonnaise, totally uneatable. First time my girlfriend rejects to eat fried chicken.

Then the desserts. "mais con yelo" is canned corn with syrup and cheap corn flakes on top. Not worth even 12 pesos. Then came the Berries Crumble: half a kilogram of sugar, cinnamon and jam (which is already extremely sweet). If you want to get diabetes be sure to order that. I could only have half a spoonful.

1300 pesos because they charge extra to sit on certain...
