I ordered chicken penne, moist chocolate cake, and iced americano.
They have a very limited menu. I wanted to have chicken fetuccine and a basque burnt cheesecake. Unfortunately, the burnt cheesecake is already phased out and they only had penne for pasta. Too few cake choices.
For the chicken penne, it was a little too salty but enough creaminess and it was more like a chicken caserole than pasta. It was not al dente, but rather too overdone.
The chocolate cake was moist enough. It was also not too sweet. I like it.
For the coffee, I appreciate that the male server disclosed that they are serving mixed beans, 70% Arabica and 30% Robusta. But saying that they're doing this to please foreigners' taste was totally unnecessary. I'm a local and I know my coffee beans quite well. Nonetheless, the iced americano was strong enough, I thought it was robusta. Quite far from the tastes of a coffee that's made mostly of arabica.
While the café has a lovely interior, a warm ambience, relaxing instrumental music, with a beach view, I was quite disappointed with the use of single-use plastics for their utensils and receptacles for their drinks when they have a classy clear glass dish for the pasta. They should consider using more sustainable cutlery and utensils. The sea and the sky in their scenery is their one big edge, they should take steps to align with the protection of the...
Read moreA chilled vibe emanates from this beautiful venue which definitely came at a cost. Tastefully decorated & the tables are not wedged close to each other. LOVED the high ceiling . LOVED the good music present without being loud at all. My Americano with a 3rd shot of espresso was as strong as expected.
KUDOS to the owners who went far & beyond to make the venue accessible for the physically challenged as I am who entered & departed easily. I would have served the wonderfully fresh cheesecake with a dollop of cream but this is a personal preference. The comfort room was like being at home. It was clean without odours. There's a beautiful outdoor seating area I hope to enjoy on...
