A must try authentic eating experience.
As someone who was raised abroad, I knew i had to get their soft opening promo for their lebanese roasted chicken with biryani rice to see if it tastes as authentic as possible.
My review: The biryani rice, Daqus sauce and garlic sauce were 100% authentic to me like i was back in the Middle east! Now for the main "ulam" the lebanese rotisserie chicken, It was nearly perfect in every way, slow roasted soft chicken goodness! The flavor of the lebanese seasoning to the bone. I even thought it had a small Philippine authenticity taste with hints of spring onion being stuffed inside the chicken pre-roast. Overall, a must try!
For the service (at this time of writing): I knew it would always be packed as their FB page and food vloggers keep posting reels and pictures about the promo and how it tastes which will attract more people for sure with non stop lines. I decided to go in the afternoon on a weekday to expect a shorter line. Due to hassle and shortage, they made us write down our names in a numbered list and called us to come back several hours later to purchase and collect the order so i only had to wait an hour in line and come back a few hours later to get the order instant. (Better than waiting for hours straight in line) No parking. No dine-in. Takeaway mostly.
Opening prices: 150 - half chicken w/ rice 300 - full chicken w/ rice 50 - extra...
Read more"A Disappointing Experience at Why Chicken"
My husband and I recently decided to try out a new local restaurant called "Why Chicken", drawn in by its growing popularity. Despite the long wait, we were excited to taste what we had heard were delicious dishes.
Unfortunately, our experience didn't quite live up to the hype. After a 20-minute wait in line to place our order, we were told to wait another two hours for our food. We ordered their chicken with complimentary biryani rice and even added an extra serving of biryani.
The chicken was disappointingly small ,salty and dry, especially considering the price we paid for it. The accompanying garlic sauce lacked the punchy flavor we were expecting, leaving our taste buds unimpressed. The biryani rice, too, was far from exceptional.
While we understand the restaurant was busy, we felt the quality of the food didn't justify the wait time or the price. In comparison, we've had far better experiences with roast chicken from Andoks or Baliwag.
In conclusion, we are disappointed by our experience at "Why Chicken". We won't be returning and based on our experience, we can't recommend it to others. We hope the restaurant takes this feedback into consideration and improves their offerings...
Read moreAs excited as I was to try out chicken biryani at home specially when the shop is all over social media. I tried to get my hands on this yummy treat. To my disappointment, i failed to secure even one bird.
I will not be rating the food since I have yet to taste them. I will however rate the experience.
It seemed that those who were able to taste their product are satisfied considering the wait and excitement.
Their Facebook page shows a huge crowd gathering on a daily basis. Due to insufficient supply, walk-in customers, at least most of them, get to write their names on a logbook and return on a later date and will be able to order a maximum of 2 servings.
When your booking date comes, you will again be waiting for your name to be called, together with the new walk-ins, who will have a chance to get served or be scheduled on a latter date.
Service 1 as there was no system placed to accommodate reservations and walk-ins properly.
Atmosphere 1 Customers are forced to crowd in the parking space in front of the shop while waiting their turn. Exposed to weather.
Recommendation: It is high time to purchase a new set of griller cabinet to meet the increased demand. Place a simple system of queueing customers and take...
