We had lunch at Baker’s Kitchen in Puerto Princesa with a small group, and overall, the experience was a mix of highs and lows. We ordered several dishes to share, including Pork Chops, Grilled Liempo, and Carbonara. Unfortunately, the pork chops were overcooked and tough — definitely the most disappointing item on the table. It felt like it had been on the grill too long, leaving the meat dry and hard to enjoy. On a better note, the Grilled Liempo was okay — well-cooked and flavorful, though not particularly standout. It had a nice smoky taste and went well with rice. The Carbonara was creamy and satisfying. Not too heavy, and the portion was fair. It wasn’t restaurant-quality Italian, but for a casual local eatery, it was decent comfort food. We didn’t try their homemade bread this time, though it seems to be one of the things they’re known for, so maybe that’s worth a shot next visit. Service was fair — not bad, not exceptional. We got our food within a reasonable time, and while the staff wasn’t especially warm or attentive, they were polite and got the job done. In short, Baker’s Kitchen is a decent stop if you’re looking for a quick local meal, but it’s a bit hit-or-miss. Some dishes work better than others, and I’d probably skip the pork chops if I came back.

Food = ⭐⭐⭐ The food and coffee here are very delicious and affordable. The pizza was hot and fresh when served, but the pasta was a bit disappointing. It would be better if they used fresh ingredients for the pasta. Service and Atmosphere= ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The service was perfect. The staff were polite and patient, even though I took a while to decide what to order because there were so many options. They were very accommodating. The atmosphere was great, even without air conditioning inside. I liked that I could choose to sit either outside on the balcony or inside. It was a nice experience overall!

The individual servers who work here are very accommodating, knowledgeable, and skilled. The baked goods are delicious. I thought the coffee was very good and a great price compared to many cafes in the area. I only have one grip and it’s mostly to do with the spaghetti. I am not a big fan of al dente to the point that it’s matigas (hard). My pasta was a bit of a let down.

It has a nice cozy park to chill. The bakeshop is famous for its hopia and ensaymada, good for pasalubong. Food at the resto is delicious but pricey for a provincial joint, and with service charge! Maybe they make u pay for the ambience of the park. Salted shrimp and brick oven pizza are highly recommended. Although i could get those cheaper somewhere else but just...
