I woke up at dawn’s break to Nature’s melodious symphony of the roosters’ crows and the birds’ chirping tweets offering as it were a fitting sound track for a visual treat of the still faint and gentle early morning sunbeam that softly illuminates the room through its eastern glass door by the balcony, the illumination made even gentler to the sight as it passes through the white voile door curtain. That tiny slice of life made me for a moment thought that I was in a rural agricultural farmland tucked very far away from the Philippines’ megacity that is Metro Manila. As my gaze slowly followed the illuminating light, I caught a glimpse of the room’s modern interior with its tasteful combination of upscale amenities and contemporary Filipino accommodation styling expressed in elegant coco shell wall accents, capiz-adorned lamp diffusers, mixed media furniture pieces, among others.||||This was my unforgettable waking up experience during my recent overnight stay at the Estancia de Lorenzo Nature Farm and Events Venue. The property is nestled at the sprawling 5-hectare land in San Mateo, Rizal, which serves as the eastern provincial doorway to Metro Manila. Estancia de Lorenzo is blessed with a natural backdrop of the scenic Sierra Madre, the country’s longest mountain range, which gives the place that restful close-to-Nature feel.||||I can definitely say a lot of good things about Estancia de Lorenzo – the spacious events and function rooms that can surely fulfill and accommodate diverse kind of activities; the wide array of villa-styled accommodation possibilities; the delectable and generously-portioned Filipino gastronomic favorites served in all its restaurants and/or during events; the warmth and hospitality of the personnel; the still ongoing, luxuriously modern and massive development of the entire facility, ad infinitum. ||||But the thing that struck me the most with that recent Estancia de Lorenzo staycation experience was its owners’ grand vision for the entire place to become an expansive and ultra-flexible get-away facility that beautifully brings together seamlessly in one place the modern-day luxury and convenience of a top-notch resort, a mass events place, and an out-door/in-door sports activity hub while meticulously and proactively anticipating to fulfill the highly differentiated and nuanced interests, needs and ages of guests whether they be an individual, a couple, a family, a group of friends, a corporate team, or a mass gathering lot. This was made evident by having the high-class resort facility regulars available there – the comfy, modern and well-appointed accommodation rooms, farm-to-table and other restaurants, swimming pools, souvenir shop, and spa. Additionally, it has possibilities to accommodate large outdoor gatherings such as concerts, sports and teambuilding activities, among others, in its huge amphitheater facility. Then it has a playground and a mini zoo with a collection of birds, mammals and reptiles capped by a sizable number of crocodiles to see, and with prior arrangement, horseback and carabao riding activities especially for the kiddies are possible. Additionally, it offers Nature-bound adventure rides on quadbikes and buggy bikes aside from its multi-purpose courts that can accommodate basketball, volleyball and tennis matches. Finally, it has sports bar where guests may immerse on billiard and dart games in between bites of their favorite snacks of pizzas, pastas or sandwiches and sips of their preferred alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Indeed, an ambitious dream staycation or events place due for full completion in 2021 that promises to fulfill each and every visitor’s...

Inquiry: Response time kahit di agad, agad, acceptable turnaround response time naman. Straightforward din naman to see online ung available room to book but better to still coordinate via email or chat para mas sure in terms of confirming the room available. Booking: Come booking time, mejo na off ako. I still have to sign some acknowledgement on the deduction via credit card. Other accommodations kasi online payment process lang (sira daw online system nila 🤷‍♀️). After my booking was confirmed. Parang transactional lang. Di ko na feel na excited sila na magbook kami sa kanila. Char. Location: It's just 30 minutes away from Marikina Check-in: Come arrival time, since late na kami nakarating mabilis naman naasikaso pag check-in namin. Naloka lang ako parang bank loan ang peg sa pagpirma ng papers nila. Ang damiiiiing pages. For checkout, mejo little waiting since they check the room muna before we get cleared. Villa: Kala namin malayo villa namin, walking distance lang pala sa mismong reception area. 😅 In our villa, the rooms had individual small restrooms: 1 downstairs and 1 for each room upstairs. Furnishing is ok. Minimalist aesthetic. There's no TV downstairs. The TV upstairs naman, there's nothing to watch in the other room. Ung isang room lang may Netflix. Didn't bother complaining na lang. We enjoyed the place na lang. The toiletries provided, mejo so-so lang. Towels are also provided. Reception: from the super bait guard (same guard from the Alice Dixson reel on Estancia) to the ones on the desk, very accommodating. We had our meryenda in Bistro Manuel, ok naman food. We enjoyed the pizza and other pica stuff and drinks we had. They serve wine and charcuterie too. Mini zoo: We also toured around the mini zoo. Mini lang talaga siya. Hehe. Then we went for a swim. We enjoyed swimming though you can smell the farm or farm manure every now and then. Provided naman ng pool towels so you can dry up. Food: For dinner, we had an eshuttle bring us to the aesthetic bldg area (fully booked na ung massage reservations so isa lang sa.min nakapagpafoot spa and nag swim na lang talaga ung iba). We ate at the Farmyard barn then added some Peking duck platter from the other restaurant (you can order it in Farmyard Barn too). The musicians there were also professionals. So we enjoyed dining while listening to good music. We roamed a bit in the other mala SG lifted tower nila. Upon returning to Villa, mejo na off lang kami kasi since walang sampayan for wet clothes, we placed it on the side part of the balcony. Perhaps they could have provided na kang kahit portable sampayan or samting. Oh well. Breakfast /Lunch: For the breakfast in Lorenzo's, naenjoy namin lahat. From kakainin to champorado to rice and viand. Happy! We didn't go on ATV since we had kids with us. Just chilled while raining then upon checkout, had our lunch in Cafe Nieves. We had one last hurrah celebrating my daughter's birthday. We.even arranged for a birthday cake greeting with the help of the staff. Overall the entirety of their customer service, super top notch. We enjoyed our stay there but I don't think it's something we might want to consider returning or coming back pa... Better to explore other same type of resorts or hotels of the same price since mejo pricey siya. Overall, we enjoyed pa rin naman our staycation...

Estancia de San Lorenzo boasts a grand and picturesque ambiance, but for its ₱15,000 per night rate for 6pax, the experience left us a bit disappointed in several aspects. We arrived earlier than the standard 3PM check-in (around 10:30AM), and we’re truly grateful that the staff accommodated us without hesitation. It was an extremely hot day, so we only managed to visit the mini zoo — a nice activity especially for kids. We also appreciated that the staff allowed us to have fast food delivered for our toddler, who is a picky eater. Small considerations like this made a difference during our stay. However, several issues made our overall experience fall short of expectations: 1. Toilet Flush Issues The second-floor toilet flush in our villa barely worked due to weak water pressure, making it difficult to use. We already noticed this on the toilet’s lobby and didn’t expect it will happen to our villa too. 2. Leaking Air Conditioning Unit On our first night, the air conditioning unit in our room suddenly gushed out water around 7PM. Three maintenance staff quickly attended to it, but the issue happened again at 10:00. This time, one staff member arrived and inspected the concern. She said she will return it took so long that my husband requested a pail to catch the water instead — since it was already late and we had a toddler who needed sleep. 3. Faulty Automated Door Lock The villa’s automated door locked my father-in-law inside. He had to call the reception for help, and maintenance accessed the villa through the garden back door to manually fix the lock. However, as soon as they left, the door malfunctioned again — leaving him waving from inside the villa to call back the maintenance team for the second time. 4. Unclean Glass Doors While taking a video of the villa, I noticed that the glass sliding doors were covered in large white streaks. It didn’t look like fog from the temperature — it looked like unwashed soap residue that hadn’t been properly cleaned, which took away from the villa’s overall aesthetic. 5. Internet Connection The Wi-Fi was advertised as fast, but the signal was painfully slow — only 150kbps even when we tested it in the dining area on the ground floor. Streaming videos or even browsing keeps loading, which was extremely frustrating. We expected a more luxurious experience. There was no television in the living room, only in the bedrooms. The breakfast was plated instead of buffet — though the food was delicious, the rate should’ve included buffet breakfast by default. It was also surprising that the villa didn’t provide any utensils or kitchenware, citing their strict no outside food policy due to the presence of in-house restaurants. Despite these issues, the staff was accommodating and polite, and the place itself holds a lot of potential. They were also kind enough to allow us to stay until 2:30PM on checkout day due to these inconveniences which we truly appreciate. However, the facilities and overall experience didn’t align with the high price tag.

I finally decided to book here after seeing a number of reels and after my sister and her friends stayed here last month but was very disappointed. I booked online using their website, paid via cc only to find out that they can't actually charge your cc so you have to send dp week before via bank transfer/gcash or cc auth form. They should have mentioned it on the booking confirmation instead of just sending an email with the MOP available and saying you have less than 24 hours to send the payment. What if I wasn't available? Will they cancel my reservation? (I'm not sure since I sent the payment after receiving the email). But this was nothing compared to some other inconvenience we experienced during our stay. 1. Bed bugs - some of us had rashes and were feeling itchy after spending some time in the living room area and later that night, I found out why. There were bed bugs on the sofa!!! We also found one on my pillow that night since we stayed on the first floor room (across the living room). I told the receptionist in the morning and he sent someone to clean but we were already checking out that day. I just hope we didn't bring those with us home. This was in Bellina villa. Edited***Forgot to mention, there was also a cockroach in the room that night. It went under the bed. 2. Security rang the doorbell at 11pm. We were already asleep since we were tired and had an early morning sched the next day. He told me we can't hang any clothes in the balcony. We don't have a problem with that but it was not on the rules and regulations they provided (and if only they have informed us earlier instead of waking us up at 11PM). There was no drying rack in our villa so I don't know where they expect their guests to hang their clothes especially since there were 12 of us. I called front desk since I noticed the other villa had a drying rack, waited for about 10-15mins then called again to follow up, receptionist said she will rush housekeeping then called back to tell me there is no available drying rack and he will tell security. The next morning, another guard told us the same thing. Hope they have some kind of comms/hand off to the next guard on duty. No harm done though since this time, we were already awake. 3. Breakfast - we were told the night before that it was a full weekend so they need to schedule the breakfast. They told us we can eat at 8.30AM but I requested for an earlier time since we have seniors and some of us still want to swim in the morning. It was granted but I didn't expect they would crammed us to 1 table (total of 12 pax plus a 2yo and 4yo). I'm not sure if it's a table that can be extended but the end were in slating position. There were a lot of empty seats/tables available before and after we ate. They could have managed this better. Aside from being aesthetically pleasing in pictures, there's nothing much here.
