Bucafe in Siquijor has quickly become one of my go-to spots every time I visit the island, and I always look forward to stopping by. It's got this cozy, laid-back vibe that makes it perfect for a relaxing afternoon.

The Vibe: The ambiance is one of Bucafe’s biggest selling points. It’s set in a really peaceful location, surrounded by nature, which makes it a great spot to unwind. The cafe’s interior is warm and inviting, with a rustic, homey feel. You can tell they’ve put effort into the decor, making it a pleasant environment to enjoy your meal or drink. It’s also not overly crowded, which is a huge plus, especially when you’re looking to escape the hustle and bustle of more touristy spots.

Food & Drinks: The menu is simple but satisfying. Whether you're in the mood for a good cup of coffee, fresh juice, or a tasty pastry, Bucafe has you covered. I always love the coffeeβ€”rich and flavorfulβ€”paired with a light snack. It’s the kind of place where you can just sip your drink and enjoy the calm atmosphere. If you’re lucky, you’ll get to enjoy the place without the crowd, which really makes the experience feel even more special.

When to Visit: The key to enjoying Bucafe is timing. It’s at its best when it's not too crowded, so I always try to go during the quieter hours. When the place isn’t packed, you can truly appreciate the peaceful surroundings, the friendly service, and the little details that make it stand out.

If you’re in Siquijor and looking for a chill spot to relax, Bucafe is definitely worth the visit. The food and drinks are solid, the vibe is unmatched, and the setting is perfect for just soaking in the island’s peaceful energy. If you catch it at the right time when it’s not too busy, you’ll definitely have a great time here. It’s become one of my favorite spots, and I’ll keep coming back whenever I’m...

At first, it was nice. We were just enjoying the afternoon breeze. After we ordered we sat down on the corner, just waiting for the people to be done laying down to the "hanging ropes" mats. We were patiently waiting until these group of men arrived, bringing their own speaker playing loud music like they're the only people in there. We were just there trying to focus when one of the groups who's laying on the "hanging ropes" left. We were thrilled because that means we can replace them. Since the few times we've been there we weren't really able to sit in there. I was already tugging the mats and the staff came in to help but one of those loud guys (this crossed-eyed guy to be exact) who came in with speaker got mad and said that they are the one's who are going to use it. Mind you, the staff knew that we are the one's who came in first but still, he chose to give it to them. It's just a shame how it's unfair that they get to get it first when we are the one's who waited longer. This same staff also prioritize the foreigners coz they give out these round mats to the them who came in later than us even when we are the one's near the wooden steps.

Please treat everyone fairly guys. Sakit lang huna-hunaon na just because we are locals, ingon ato na dayun ang treatment na ma receive namu from our favorite spot. Hopefully di ma experience sa...

The cafe is along the road and easy to locate. It’s best to go there on a motorbike or in a car before lunch or after lunch time. The free parking is just in front of the cafe. It’s true that it gets a bit warm there especially on the lower floor since there are no electric fans in the place. Good thing that the weather was just perfect when we went there so the wind was blowing through out our stay. We ordered a caramel macchiato and a cafe latte. Both tasted great, love the taste of the espresso and even the milk. They served it first before the meals that we ordered, which were the crispy lechon belly and boneless bangus. The seasonings on both meals were perfect, not bland nor too salty, even when you eat them without the rice. The crispy pork belly was just a bit too oily so the rice was sort of floating in oil. The boneless bangus was indeed boneless except for the head part of the fish. It was crispy and tasty, the highlight was the sautΓ©d veggies on it. Unfortunately forgot to try the empanada tho. Service was okay, it just that we got our meals 50 minutes after we ordered them. We had to follow up on them because the other customers who arrived much later than we did already almost finished their meals before we even got ours, so our brunch technically...

Save for your BUCKETLIST 🀌 guide below! Could you guess where this was?? πŸ“ Siquijor, Philippines Places to see: 1) Cambugahay Falls (overly hyped very busy but awesome caves under the falls!) 2) Enchanted tree if you like fish eating at your feet πŸ˜‚ 3) Lagaan Falls, Lugnason Falls 4) Pitogo Cliff (AMAZING) 5) Bucafe for the view and fruit salad! 6) Cantabon Cave - Didn't go but looks good 7) Tulapos Marine Sanctuary to swim with Barracudas The best food on the island is Dolce Amore Restaurant insane pizza. (The best we've ever had randomly!?) So many dive spots, snorkelling, bars which absolutely go off. (We are too old for that but looks fun πŸ˜…) Siquijor is actually quite small and underdeveloped, but this is part of its charm. It's going through huge growth. There's black magic history in the past including voodoo, so they say don't be rude to anyone here... Have you been to Siquijor? . . . #siquijorphilippines #siquijor #visitsiquijor
