Located at Brgy San Antonio 1 in San Pablo City Laguna - this place boasts an acre of lush field of greens within a rainforest. PRO TIPS: Make a reservation to avoid queuing when you visit. Entrance is free, as long as you avail of their meal. (As of this writing) you'll have to pay for 200php/pax if you don't. They comply with senior citizen discount, so for our elderly folks don't forget to bring your SC cards 😉. Payment can be cash, QR or credit card. Parking is a breeze since they have a huge space for parking slots.

This is also a good place to celebrate family events like birthdays or anniversary. Your family will be welcomed by a brass band accompanied by a drum and lyre corps, when you mention (on your reservation) an occassion you're celebrating on the day of your visit. They even have weekly cultural presentations as well ❤️

They have a variety of set (boodle fight, grazing boards, rice meals) and ala carte menu items, great at any time of the day (whether breakfast, lunch, tea time, or dinner). During weekends, they serve blue ternate rice (cooked with clitoria ternatea or butterfly pea flower) by default, so if you're not into flavored rice, might as well advise them to serve plain rice as you order. The have healthy organic options for low-carb/high-protein diet, and even vegans.

WORTH IT BA BALIKAN? YES. This place is super pop.

Paraiso de Avedad is true to its name: a little paradise tucked in the outskirts of the city of San Pablo in Laguna.

Reservation Unlike other tourist destinations, you will need to log a reservation and not just walk in to the place. Same day booking is accepted but make sure to receive the confirmation first before heading to Paraiso.

Entry / Arrival While ordering food is not entirely required, to not do so would require you to pay 200 pesos per head as some form of entrance/access fee. It would, then, be more ideal to try out the food offered in the place instead. In terms of ordering, you will have more time to enjoy the place if you have food of choice already in advance before arriving. A representative of your group will have to communicate and settle the orders with the receptionists. You will, then, receive a complimentary welcome drink of ice tea! If you have a vehicle, you will be asked to secure a slot in the parking area on the other side of the place.

Eating Area You are actually free to select your spot on where you want to have your ordered food eaten. Factors to consider are the weather, the time, the number of people in your group, and your food of course. It is suggested that you take the roofed eating areas so that you would not any problems if ever it rains. Note that you have to surrender your gate pass to the person-in-charge in the eating area. You will, then, need to pay for the food first before having it again. Do not lose the gate pass as you need to surrender it again upon exit from the premises.

Food Food is served with care as they are covered upon arriving at the dining table. The blue rice made from blue ternate flower is a must try! The food you ordered is best partnered with either a cold or hot drink. The coffee selection should be tried by coffee lovers. Cold drinks can be taken out after and be carried as you explore other parts of the place.

Amenities Access to almost all the facilities are essentially for free, except for what appears to be a museum where you need to pay a small fee to enter. You have playground area for kids, open courts for teens, swimming pools and falls for selfies and groufies, and huts and stylized bahay-na-bato for you to explore and chill in.

Paraiso de Avedad is, indeed, a fine place for relaxation, especially in the later afternoon, early evening where you can be surrounded by insects sounds and cool breeze...

Me and my closest friends went here last weekend and let me tell you a couple things on this place:

(1) Do not forget the green slip given to you by the guard or else the receiving area would not entertain you at all. Never welcomed, never given a menu to glance, never told to check out their complementary beverage. Good thing the employees stationed at the drinks were eager enough to gesture the act of receiving and set the tone (and I thank you for those titas specifically).

(2) Be prepared on the possibility of receiving a fanfare (specifically trumpets) while walking towards your choice of table. This is a notice for people who get easily overstimulated.

(3) Before asking the staff to take pictures of your group, make sure that the space is "clear". Upon inspection of the photos taken (which were serviceable), we were utterly dismayed because there was a staff member in the frame of most shots, making face and goofing off. We found this to be extremely unprofessional and extremely unethical.

(4) Take a second to check your food and its presentation (included photo for reference). One, you would think that a pasta served without a garnish of parm and parsley would just be a minute error but when you ordered three of those, you expect all of those dishes would at least look the same and have equal distribution. Two, the three wooden plates that were used for presentation for the pasta were riddled with mold, which is a clear display of the lack of awareness in ensuring health protocols are met. In these circumstances, we were not given any apologies from the staff.

To synthesize my first and now forever last experience, I highly DO NOT recommend this place. While you can argue that the venue has lush greenery and a wave of peace and calm the forest provides but pretty isn't pretty enough and the people who dine in the future should be given a calibre of greatness because the forest's beauty existed way before this sorry excuse of...
