Chowking — Restaurant in Santa Cruz

We arrived at the store around 4:45pm I was about to order at the counter but the staff wearing black i think she's a team leader told us that we need to order at the kiosk even if there is no customer but it's okay maybe it's their policy but when we ordered at the kiosk, a man came ordered at the counter, I thought we needed to order at the kiosk??. but it's okay and when our order arrived the halo-halo is missing so we wait about 17mins but I think they forgot, so my husband followed up the halo-halo, and then when I'm about to drink my soft drinks it's oily knowing that their drinks are in disposable glass, I understand if it's placed in a tumbler but it's still oily in the disposable glass!??, so I returned the drinks they are 4 people were there including the manager but no one apologized before I left. I approached the manager why no one even apologized and that's the only time she apologized and said she was about to replace my soft drinks too late!!. Lastly, it was so hot inside the store that the aircon was turned off. I don't know if the air conditioner is broken or just not really turned on. Bad service...

I loved chowking for its somewhat budget friendly meal options and proportions of the food like its siomai chao fan. I have visited chowking many times, however, this experience in particular has led me to dislike this fast food restaurant. They had gotten our order wrong twice which was both inconvenient and time consuming, we ordered drinks with no ice yet the opposite was given to us. I also ordered some lemon type shit drink without ice yet we were given two lychees with ice which tasted horrible leading us to leave with them barely touched. The food that my Grandmother ordered wasn't even punched in the receipt causing us to get another purchase which was inconvenient for both parties.

My wife and I dined at Chow King yesterday after a long arduous waiting for approval of my laboratory test from my HMO in the hospital. I've ordered a rice meal with sweet & sour pork, pancit canton and small halo-halo. I thought we will not be able to eat it all but the foods are delicious, beside we are hungry and tired so we were surprised that we consumed it all.
