Broken management system. Worn out facilities. Struggling staff.
Haven't been to Enchanted Kingdom for such a long time and this experience reminded me why I should never go back.
We arrived at the Amazon Grill / Launch Time restaurant around 2pm for a late lunch and we were surprised to find the place still jam packed. Spent at least half an hour waiting in line at 1 of 2 counters. Though they normally accept credit cards, it just so happens that when it was our turn there was suddenly "an issue". Fortunately we had cash on us but I pity anyone who spent queueing who didn't have cash on them as they are expecting their credit cards to be accepted.
Cashier was smart, friendly and helpful. However she had to punch our order twice--once for cash register that doesn't show us the total onscreen, 2nd time using a calculator which she used to flash us the total amount to be payed. It looks like the cash register is more for tracking sales and generating order tickets for the staff to assemble the order. After paying for the meal, the food was quickly assembled by waiting staff and we were able to quickly bring them to our table.
We ordered their fried chicken, liempo, spaghetti, pork and tofu sisig. All viands came with a cup of rice, making it a meal meant adding a water bottle. Plates were at least provided and not disposable. The utensils provided however were a disappointment. I don't mind using plastic utensils but at the very least sturdy ones that won't bend/break while you're trying to cut a piece of the liempo.
Napkins weren't immediately provided to us, we had to ask for them too. The indoor dining area is setup like a mess hall with loads of tables and chairs but the AC is in no condition to maintain a cool comfortable dining atmosphere (unless that's the intent to get people back out to the various attractions). I feel bad for the staff that have to deal with the environment and poor system regularly. I wouldn't be surprised if they regularly encounter customer complaints on the long wait in line and dining atmosphere.
Do yourself a favor and eat before coming to Enchanted Kingdom or if you really must, there are several food stalls scattered in the park, you might be better off there if you're looking for a quick bite. Now if despite all that, you still decide to dine here, your expectations have been set. I really hope they improve and I'm...
Read moreWe went here for a quick lunch and frankly, I wasn't expecting much. It was cafeteria set up and reviews were mediocre but we were pleasantly surprised!
We ordered chicken sisig, tofu sisig, pork sinigang, and halo halo for dessert. I like that the set meals already came with bottled water. We are family of 4 and we spent P1010.00 only. Very good meal-portions were good for the price and their halo halo is something to crave for!
I'm usually hesitant ordering halo-halo because it's hard to find a good one that actually serves with a decent amount of content and not just ice. This halo halo passed our standards! It was really good!
The establishment is also air conditioned and is a great way to cool off from walking around...
Read moreLocated in Enchanted Kingdom, price of food is OK but bland and I wish they would have condiments.
Their halo-halo is good for sharing at p140 - like a tub!
It’s canteen type thing even when the outside looks like a restaurant. There is some air conditioning inside and they have their own bathrooms. It is spacious but can get really full during peak season.
They do take credit cards.
Rating them 4 stars because it took our food a long time to come and then there were missing water bottles, too. We had had to go back to the counter to...
