Second time eating here for Ilocano food. It's a restaurant available to hungry travellers coming out at the end of TPLEX Rosario going North to Ilocano country. On the walls hung frames with personal messages and signatures of "famous' people who dropped by (can't recognize any of them🤫). We came on a weekday lunch, and the place filled up quickly. Luckily, we ordered first so there's not much wait. They automatically served pitcher of filtered water with ice and glasses. Seafood pinacbet was served in a small palayok (smelt funky) containing squid, shrimp, leftover grilled tulingan. Bulalo was served in a small saingan, pinapaitan na kambing looks vivid green in a white porcelain tasa, rice in a platter. Brewed coffee (barako) was served with muscovado sugar and fresh milk in small individual serve. Bill came up to php 1127. There are open spaces at the front and back. Parking in front can accommodate several cars. There are still flies inside the airconditioned dining area, so that was a disappointment. But it was a welcome respite from the heat. The lavatory was a sorry site, dirty and the faucets were rusty. Across the road are stalls selling variety of dried fishes, suka, patis and bagoong ilocano. 1/8 kilo of boneless dilis, salted and unsalted danggit, buo & hiwa espada, biya, pusit ranges from php 175-225 so be sure to haggle and ask for freebies if you bought a lot (we got a small bottle of pinakurat and 1L...

The place serves filipino dishes and delicious goat meat viand like Caldereta and Papaitan.

They have a good selection in the menu and the beverages include fruit shakes, juices, coffee and tea.

The place is frequented by local artists, and previous guests return when traveling in La Union. You can find this place just after Sto Tomas or just before the town of Agoo when going to San Fernando.

The name of the place welcomes returning guests with the sign ..... WelKamBak ! By the way, Kam stands for Kambing or goat and Bak is for Baka or Cow.

Parking is available and is PWD friendly....

While have our Road trip we pass by this restaurant and try it for the first time, the place is nice and cosy too so we order most of my favorite food. Grilled squid well it's ok but doen't taste like grilled to me and its a bit rubbery and hard to cut, Lechon Kawali it's been a long time I never try this but Im not satisfied with their Lechon Kawali its not crunchy at all but ok any way. But I'm satisfied with their chapchoy, sinigang Lapu lapu and Kambing, over all I still enjoy my lunch here.😍😎 for video visit my YouTube...
