came from cecilia's today to hopefully buy the coveted ube buko pie. this is my second time coming here, the first time i went they told me they're already out of ube buko pies.
today i came back and there is still no ube buko pie, ubos na raw. frustrated, i asked for a buko pie -- ubos na rin daw.
i then i asked where is the next closest cecilia's branch and the cashier told me the one near calax is closest -- but then she added they're also out of ube buko and buko pies.
they should have changed their name from cecilia's buko pies to cecilia's pasalubong para hindi na natin i-expect na may...
ย ย ย Read moreI'm not into buco pie and have to admit I'm skeptical at first given the numerous pasalubong stores in the Silang to Tagaytay road that are practically a clone of each one. But Cecilia's offerings are indeed unique and tastes good. And for me, who isn't into buco pies, having it in small pieces actually encouraged me to sample their various products. Do note though that the store can be full of customers whole day from Friday to Sunday and most of the afternoon to early evenings the rest of the days. Traffic can be terrible since there isn't enough parking spaces to accommodate...
ย ย ย Read moreI must say that the Egg Tart was pretty perfectly baked. The taste was balanced, not too sweet nor salty. I was able to get some Ube Buko Pies which I find a little sweeter. Their Original Buko Pies were unavailable when we got there. The place got a bit crowded and there was a long line of customers but I commend the staffs because they actually worked faster than I expected. Surely, I could say their desserts all tasted good, just a bit pricey for me. Overall, I would still recommend you trying at least one of their Egg...
