Santi's is one of my favorite stores. I got to know about them when I worked for a company that operates a restaurant and their European delis come from this shop. We stopped by in one of our road trips to buy lyoner and rye bread for our grazing platter (which we have been fond of making as of late). I like how this place reminds me of the object-finding game that usually features a store like this. I feel grand shopping in here. The items are not cheap, as expected, but I like the experience of buying things you won't find in a regular grocery store. You can even have lunch, drink wine or have coffee in their in-store cafe/bar. We ordered hot coffee as we needed caffeine fix. Fancy to discover that you can even drink wine here. Thinking about trying it some time.
I like how their staff were also super nice and helpful. I wanted to have bread dipped in olive oil but they didn't have that listed on their menu in particular. It can only be served together with a meal but, as an alternative, they offered us to buy the bread, have their kitchen slice it for us and serve them on a plate. So kind of them to even heat the bread! We're definitely going back to have lunch...

Naturally, not at the peak hours that won't give you that rejuvenating air of classy and rustic dining combined. Rainy days give an even more powerful effect with the lights tones down and one can hear the well adjusted volume of the background music as a reminder that you aren't entirely in another world. The leg of lamb I chose this time (over their cheese burger) was savory and filling me just right after my intermittent fasting. I started with the keno salad, as I always start every meal with greens, followed by the main course. I wish, however, that the lamb had not been too dressed by the sauced as I always prefer tasting meats in their raw state without any marinating. This was followed by their lemon glazed carrot cake... Just fine, not too over powerfully sweet 🧁. Then a double-shot espresso. As if in a dream, I woke up driving towards my destination in...
Read moreStep into a world where old-world charm meets modern convenience! This delightful spot combines a quaint restaurant with an imported supermarket, offering a truly unique experience. Each corner of the interior whispers stories of nostalgia, making it an inviting place to explore. I absolutely love stopping by for their fresh bread and exquisite cheese – perfect for elevating any meal at home. However, my dining experience left something to be desired; the menu prices felt steep and the portions were rather modest. While I may not return to dine in, you can count on me coming back time and again to stock up on those irresistible baked goods and artisanal treats that transport my taste buds straight to Europe! There’s nothing quite like enjoying quality ingredients that bring a little taste of tradition into my everyday life. It's these little culinary adventures that make all the difference in turning ordinary meals into...
