Shang Palace Seafood Restaurant — Restaurant in Tagbilaran

We walked from our B&B to this restaurant which is about 15 minutes on a cool late afternoon. The place is quiet and there is only about one group inside the restaurant when we visited which is great because we have avoided the dinner rush. There are several trikes passing by so if you don't want to walk, you can ride one. From our B&B, it's about P20 per person.

Our server, Tino, was very attentive. The other servers who delivered our food were all pleasant and knowledgeable. They answered all of our questions about the food. I think this is my first time to eat black soup which looked like corn hair but apparently is a type of seaweed. We ordered the small bowl which is good for three people and we still have leftover for takeout.

They also offered complimentary nuts and house tea which we enjoyed while waiting for our order. What surprised us the most was the serving time which was shorter than expected. Our fried rice and main dish was served within 15 minutes. Our dumplings arrived much later.

There are servers on the floor who are very attentive to customers. They responded to requests right away. As the dinner guests start to come in, they stayed attentive to the customers.

We got the ff items: Black soup, salted egg squid, orange chicken, hakaw, Shang Palace fried rice, siomai, lettuce rolls (meat mixed with minced veggies wrapped in lettuce), chicken feet and everything was good! Starting with black soup was very healing followed by the other dishes paired with the fried rice. Left the resto with a happy tummy.

Service was also very good and receptive. Food was also served faster than expected. There’s just smth sad about the place I can’t...

We’re always enjoying the foods here but by service need to improve and not let the staff making lots of noise with plates when separating it while cleaning maybe need to do it in the kitchen becauSe the noise disturbing us while eating...like so much noise from spoons and plates like they’re throwing it... Best Chinese food in Bohol...we’re keep Coming back here coz we love the foods...hopefully the noise will gone on our next...
