Very easy to access, just off the highway. Crabs were unavailable but the shrimp and squid dishes were good. I suggest you stick to the seafood. Chicken dishes were subpar for the price. Staff were excellent. Our server knew everything about the menu and even gave great recommendations.

Biggest con about the place is the price. Way too expensive imo. We paid 4k pesos for 6 people. Even though the atmosphere of the place was great, you’d get more from other places. I even thought the fishing rods were free to use but they charge 50 php. You then pay 300 per kilo for fish you catch, which again is overpriced. Maybe if the rods were free, then the 300/kg would be worth. Would be 5 stars if prices matched the place. But overall a...

Whenever we need to travel up North from the city, we pass by this resto along Tagum City. We usually dine here for lunch. Food is okay, generally tasty and flavorful, especially the seafoods. Although the waitstaff are friendly and accommodating, orders take time so they need to improve on this. They should anticipate the day's crowd since they know travellers usually pass by their place. Ambiance is great- overlooking a fishing lake where you can also catch fish at a cost. We didn't try it. We usually skip desserts here since we are almost always full. Like the fresh, cool air as we dine. Worth a visit when you pass by here in Tagum from Davao...

This is a great place if you're travelling on the highway north or south. They have a good selection of foods. The food is almost always great here. Maybe one of the chefs has a different style of cooking our tilapia tasted differently once but other than that it's always nice. Quiet too, even though the highway is close by. The lake next to the restaurant makes it feel calm. Boardwalk wraps around. The Bamboo style architecture is comfy. Waitstaff always friendly we've been here at least 15 times...

We have this cycle where we try out new cafés and restaurants—but whenever we feel the need for a grand restart, Punong is always our go-to comeback place. With its serene vibes, amazingly good food, and warm, attentive staff, it’s the kind of spot that helps you slow down and breathe. It’s comforting to know that no matter where we wander, this place is always here—ready to welcome us back when we need it most. Wishing them a smooth and steady future~

Worthy stopover along the National Highway. The restaurant offers a variety of Filipino dishes with seafood as their specialty. Delicious and value for money as the portions are big. We especially loved the Beef Kare Kare and Fried Tilapia. Ambience is great too as the place has been refurbished. Parking is plenty as well.
