A talented chef who provides according to his high talents and abilities, without a long wait for any course. Kusina ni Pareng Avel is the Gold Standard of Philippine restaurants in the world. It's that good. I have tried so many Philippine restaurants around the world, and only a select few can excite the senses and compel this reviewer to exclaim praise with very little criticism... I declare that Kusina ni Pareng Avel is the best Philippine restaurant in the world. Let me share with you a unique moment that I experienced in the restaurant: My plate was empty, as was my bowl. I had eaten more than I should have. The waiter approached me, as appropriate, and asked me if he could remove my plate from the table. I emphatically denied his request. You see, I had already eaten too much of a great thing, but for the first time in a restaurant, I did not want the meal to stop. The food was that good. I wanted to wait for a few minutes more to see if I could have a little more Bichol Express, or Fall-off-the-bone Barbequed Spare Ribs, with some additional Pansit Tamis Anghang. Or perhaps a little more Pork Sinigang. But the meal staring at me was still way too hearty. The portions of meat and vegetables in the Sinigang were substantial, as were the savoury cuts of pork in the Bichol Express, and in the ribs. Too much for me to consume; my eyes were leading me to an evil that I would be sure to regret while driving back home. So, we asked the staff to package the leftovers, which they did quickly and neatly. I consumed the meal with unbelief, and left the restaurant in a daze. Kusina ni Pareng Avel doesn't just serve a meal; it serves a meal that you will love because it will love you back. I feel Blessed to have happened across Kusina ni Pareng Avel in my travels. Food - everything we ordered was fantastic! Kapeng barako took my coffee liking to a different level! It's definitely a must try! Fall-off spare ribs was really great to devour! I can eat all of those every day from this restaurant! The Pancit lucban was also a level up!

It is great to share your food with our family members, as though senior citizens are very picky eaters, yet they loved it in Kusina ni Pareng Avel.
