The location is very nice and for the most part, the service is excellent. There are some pitfalls to watch out for. You will pay a premium price up front (1800 per person) and be given a series of tickets. Instead of one entry ticket. There are separate tickets for the entry, the cart ride to the buffet, the cart ride back from the buffet, the small on site museum. These are not separate charges.. they are included in the base fee. If you have anyone in your party with mobility issues, it will be very difficult to get them down to the area where the man made waterfall is. There is a long wheelchair ramp but it is narrow, steep, and slippery. In order to get a wheelchair, you will need to hand over an ID which you won’t get back until the wheelchair is returned at the end. The problem, is that you will not be told how or where to return the wheelchair and there isn’t a system in place to situate your mobility restricted party member near the shuttle (which is required to return to the parking area) and to return the wheelchair to retrieve your ID. My 80+ year old aunt, who needed the wheelchair, was denied the senior discount because she left her senior ID in the car.
The buffet area is in the water, so you will not be able to get your own food unless you get into the water. This is something I wouldn’t recommend for anyone who is not incredibly sure-footed. It is somewhat slippery. After waiting in line for the food, I arrived at the buffet table to find multiple offerings empty. Unfortunately, but not surprisingly, the depleted items are the most popular ones. Pork, banana-cue, etc.. I waited 25 minutes standing at the buffet table for the pork and banana-cue to be replenished, at which time a swarm of people rushed over and ignored the line. There was no longer an attendant there (since everyone had given their tickets already). Not only did the patrons who had already eaten take second or third portions after skipping the line, the staff took a significant portion of the replenished foods for people they were serving at tables who had given them tips to do so. After waiting and not having had a first helping, I barely got some of the pork and had none of the banana dessert which was emptied within 30 seconds by line jumpers.
Everyone is very friendly.. and the food was decent. The experience was good but the capacity for keeping up the level of service you experience when you arrive is not there. If you have anyone with mobility issues in your party, you should reconsider going. You will also be upsold continuously. I needed to pay for water with my meal and you are made to stop on your way to the parking lot to be sold a group picture that is taken on your way in and printed as you eat. The gift shop has some cute items but is another tourist trap. You will find the same items outside the property for 1/4 to 1/8 of the...
Read moreIf you are disabled avoid this place like the plague, And they made us leave our stuff at random checkpoints which i didn't like because i keep medical gear to keep me from fainting in there, they had someone watching the shoe area where I left one of the sticks cause there was a guard there and then someone stole my stick I use to walk. And left some sticker with their YouTube handle on it at the top of a massive ramp which was hard to get up with only 1 stick, the staff were overall disrespectful, they lied to us and said the museum had ac when we told them about me being prone to heat stroke, to which they said yeah there is ac so when we got in and there was no ac i was ready to faint without all my gear. They repedly lied and ignored accesibility issues after i told them i could not go upstairs due to the massive staircase in the museum they tried to make me and my partner go up still as i was walking with 1 stick as a cane and repetedly told them i could not do large amounts of stairs. place was overall super incompetent and horrible it's nice for the waterfall but don't let anyone near your stuff unless you want it stolen and the staff to not care. The dining staff at the waterfall itself were nice but anywhere other than there was sadly terrible which sucks because we had super high hopes. Nicest part of this place was the bathrooms. And the 4 min caribou ride. if u have a disability steer clear of this place and if you go don't let anything you own out of sight. The staff will lie half the time and the other half not care unless they are working at the waterfall part which seems to be more trained and empathetic staff with more...
Read moreWe drove from Pasay, Manila for a day tour. Three hours there with construction and traffic. Within an hour of arrival we toured the museum, took the carabao ride and had lunch. Then we hung out at the pool til the cultural show at 2 and departed after waking the grounds more. The Day tour is 8-5. So if you want to hang out at the pool or kayak and such on the river or play on the play grounds you can. There are lockers and showers. Everything was clean. The staff is great. The dining at the waterfall was a unique experience. They seated us and brought us an assortment of food from the buffet. Or you can get in line and get your own. You could purchase various drinks. Filipino food was served on banana leaf covered plates. My wife and I enjoyed the experience. The grounds are very pretty and mainly why we came plus the waterfall dining. The cultural show was entertaining and educational. I’m a museum person and there is a lot of cool stuff in the museum. But you have to go slow and read if you want the info. There was no guide. A little chaotic in the arrangement but downstairs are tons of saints and upstairs goes from ancient archeology to the Marcos era of different historical “stuff”. If we return we would do an overnight or get here earlier just so it didn’t seem so compacted. Plus the temperature cooling in the afternoon made walking the grounds very enjoyable vice the earlier hotter part of the day. The 1800 peso each included everything for the day tour. Reasonable for a...
