Halva Restauracja Tatarska — Restaurant in Białystok

From the moment I walked up to this restaurant, the smell of delicious food hit my nose, even from outside. And the moment I stepped inside, it felt like entering a cozy home. The whole place had such a warm atmosphere, and the decor was just beautiful, full of traditional fabrics, antique furniture, family pictures and memorabilia.

Now, let's talk about the food. When the plates arrived at our table, they were so well presented, like little pieces of art. And the taste was absolutely divine! Each bite was a burst of flavors, and the portions were so generous. I left the restaurant feeling completely satisfied.

You could really tell that the chefs put so much love and passion into their dishes. I mean, the tartar I had there was hands absolutely the best I've ever had in my life! Even the bread was simply delicious.

The menu was available also in English and our waitress spoke English too. It made things so much easier for me to understand and decide what I wanted.

I'm already planning my next visit because I can't wait to try out all the other dishes they have on their menu. Trust me, you won't be disappointed if you give this place a try. It's an experience you won't...

Update after another visit in Dec 2024: food is still great quality. Super tasty and service is really nice. In addition to kolduny (a must have!) we had kofta which was really delicious in a herb crust and wolowina po tatarsku (Tatar beef stew). For a meal for 5people with drinks and desserts (pistachio baklava is yummy) we have paid approx 400PLN. And it was worth every penny as quality of the meal is just brilliant. Highly recommended.

Visited Halva on my father’s recommendation, while in Białystok, what a treat! One of the best meals of the trip and certainly the best in Białystok! From the restaurant ambience, the friendly, helpful and welcoming staff to the amazing and spectacular food, absolutely delightful experience. Cebulnik was simply divine! So flavorful. Kulduny mouth watering perfection. Kibiny pipping hot and finger licking good (tried all 4 flavors, hands down my favorite were with meat and mushrooms, skip the chicken).
