An intimate and special experience -- I was just expecting a nice dinner, but when we arrived at sunset we got a beautiful tour of the vineyards and restored manor house. (It was a very in-depth tour. Our reservation was at 7pm, and the first course of dinner came at 8pm! This was excellent for us, since none of our party was hungry at 7pm -- but good to know, for planning purposes.) The introduction and tasting menu was devised to impart a real sense of place; the bread course actually came after dessert, paired with red wine and olive oil, to let the final dish represent the heart of region's food). My only note is that I wished they included a printed menu to take home. Already, when I look at pictures, the details escape me. My favorite dish was the lamb -- beautifully tucked into a crisp flower pastry -- but I also particularly enjoyed the crawfish. When we left the dinner, we exited into the stunning dark skies of the Alentejo. I strongly recommend this restaurant!

WOW! What a fantastic time 🤩 I've had a lot of Michelin experiences, and this was better than 90% of them. The food, atmosphere, and service were top notch. Amazing wild wines. Francisco and Marta really took care of us, they are very professional but still fun and great at what they do.

Came very excited for the tasting menu, and the reputation of the estate. Made dinner reservations directly from estate site. Gorgeous property doing amazing things with wine, with great caring staff. Wines were outstanding, with several unique choices we cannot get in the US.

The food experience for dinner was somewhat uneven to our tastes and experience with Michelin restaurants, some dishes sang, and others simply didn’t work well at all for our tastes. Tasting menu was 88 Euro at time of meal.

The chef is very conscientious which was very much appreciated, and came to speak with us for feedback. He also swapped in and remade a dish when it was not to our liking (sous vide pork had raw-tasting interior and could benefit from a few more degrees of heat, IMO). Having an advanced menu of the evening and some bread at the start (bread was brought at the end, to accompany a wine) would have been welcome touches.

1: Venison (best dish, IMO) 2: Lamb & runny egg yolk waffle 3: Crawfish w/raw crawfish + carrot 4: Crispy skin Turbot w/shaved fennel 5: Pork shoulder w/cauliflower Orange...
