Restaurante Quinta da Saudade — Restaurant in Albufeira

My wife, daughter, and I visited this amazing little restaurant last night. What an absolutely fantastic dining experience. Driving into the site, you are met with beautiful tranquil landscapes and beautiful buildings. There is lots of parking available. Rising up the steps from the car park and going through the quaint little bar, we were directed up another flight of steps to the restaurant. Here we were met by a very pleasant waitress who was very welcoming. The owner was also really nice and took our order, while another gentleman took our drinks order. I had beautiful garlic prawns to start, while my wife had the camembert cheese and my daughter had the garlic bread. Great starters all round. My wife had pork for her mains while my daughter had delicious pork ribs, and I had the most amazing fish pot. Wow, that fish pot was absolutely fabulous. Everything was fresh and so tasty. The chef came out to enquire if our food was to our satisfaction, which was such a nice touch. The homemade profritarolls for desert were so good. A simply marvellous experience. From the moment we walked through the door it was just a wonderful experience of gastronomic delights, accompanied by delightful local wines. A good, varied local menu offers something for everyone. I tried the house smoked salmon and the fish pot, both were outstanding. The team of professionals that served us were both highly knowledgeable and ever so friendly. You are left with the abiding impression that the aim is more about the maximising the customer experience than profit, sadly that's rarely the case nowadays. I have a new favourite restaurant!! The meals we had were beyond imagination! Absolutely delicious! The staff were incredibly friendly and spoke English well. The Chef came out personally to ensure we were all enjoying our meals. It was heaven! I've lived here five years and finally discovered this restaurant... And "WOW" is all I can say.
