Restaurante Casa Velha — Restaurant in Alcobaça

I went there with ny husband for lunch a few days ago. We had caldeirada de borrego (kind of lamb stew) and arroz de tomate with peixe frito (kind of tomatoes risotto with fried fish). The food was great, well cooked and with good quality. Impressive prices: lunch for 2: 18€ (with martini, wine and dessert).

Just 5* missing because the staff was not very nice: we were served by this young girl that seems that was...

this is a hidden gem in the Serra de Candeeiros mountains, 25 minutes from the hustling beaches of Nazaré. We enjoyed excellent Costeletas de vitela grelhada with crispy batatas fritas and rice and salada... delicious taste and well prepared. both of the open wines, tinto and branco ( love Vinho a pressão) were a perfect match for lunch... highly recommended and we will come back...

quite overrated in my opinion 😐 ..the restaurant is pretty and OK to stop if on the way to a trip through the mountains which is beautiful, but I wouldn't drive there just for the food. Very average food, nothing surprisingly amazing in quality or originality. Disappointed me a bit and there are other places...
