The location is unbeatable, overlooking an amazing beach just a few steps away. However: The room lacked any fridge (although in a previous message it was mentioned it was available) and even a kettle to have some boiled water. During our stay there was some wildfires (not any fault of the property) and the owner over the phone just mentioned we had to sort ourselves out. One of the days the police blocked the road, we couldn't get in, so we had to pay double to find another accommodation while paying for the room we couldn't get into. Although this is not the fault of the property, having small children and hearing on the phone "find something else" was not the most pleseant experience. We ate twice at the restaurant with disappointing results, tasteless and dry food, the chicken skewer was smelling.. We had to look for other options for the rest of the days.

Read moreThe location is spectacular. Just steps from fabulous beaches. Odeceixe Beach and the smaller naturalist Aedgas Beach (which was wonderful). Void of crowds and plenty of free parking. We did not realize this and were locked outside at night. I had to climb onto the tile roof and get help from my neighbor in the next room who summoned assistance. Quite an adventure, I felt like a cat burglar. The rooms are tiny, but sufficient for an overnight stay. The on site restaurant was a delight with fresh seafood at reasonable cost. Staff was friendly. The location is very isolated and the small village of Odeceixe is a 5 minute drive for...
Read moreMy wife and I spent 4 nights at Casa Dorita and it was nothing short of marvelous. During our time we got to know the wonderful and charming staff whom on a daily basis were welcoming and friendly. The food was spectacular as breakfast consisted of fresh baked bread, croissants, fresh fruit and eggs. The dinners were excellent. A variety of fresh fish everyday including fresh vegetables that are grown on the premises. As we are fish fanatics, the wait staff brought us different dishes every night as I always asked “what should we have tonight” and they would bring new and tasty fish everyday, including half the head of a wreck fish (cherrim), something we would have not ordered but was absolutely fantastic! We will definitely be coming back to Praia de Odeceixe and staying at...
