We had a wonderful meal here, our favorite so far in Portugal! Service was great, much faster than other restaurants we've visited so far in Portugal. Keep in mind this is a small restaurant, in a small town, they might not have the ingredients for everything on the menu. This place is lovely, overlooking a quiet vineyard with vistas of neighbouring villages. The food is excellent. While staying nearby, my girlfriend and I ate dinner here often. This unexpected stop was the hilight of our visit to Portugal from a culinary perspective. We had the distinct pleasure of dining at Solar Douro on a quiet weekday afternoon resulting in a private and elevated experience.
