Typical expression: "Rest on your laurels" (criaste a fama, deita-te na cama")!
Customers for decades...sat on the worst table possible, right with back on the entry door path (drafts) and with dessert fridges beside opening and closing. The owner doesn't even "know us" (he does quite well, didn't even greet us, and walked by with a frown face)...food is ok, arrives quickly enough after the entries (suggest the piglet croquets), well served both in quantity and quality (expensive, to my eye) but, stopped bringing the typical alentejo bread that is so customary to this kind of food. Now it's a random mixture bread who doesn't fit well with roasted piglet. Young kids yelling the whole time, annoyed the hell out of us...but hey, not restaurant fault...parents education is key. Positive note, the waiter, very nice, professional and friendly. Give her a raise, surely deserves it.
65€ for two person piglet with potato chips and salad and gravy, alentejo red wine (monte das servas), two breads, cured ham, piglet croquets (good quantity), two desserts (fruit salad and drunk pear)...you be the judge.
Overall...wont be back here anytime soon...mostly for the owner's attitude of ignoring a decades...
