Patrons beware: I have frequented this establishment for the past 3-years and for the most part I have always enjoyed my meals here. What I don’t enjoy is being taken advantage of financially for no other reason than my inability to be fluent in Portuguese. The first time I took the overcharging issue up with the owner, but most recently a friend from the UK was treating me to lunch. We ordered the daily special and when his meal came, I was not familiar with it as the usual plate of the day. I asked if it was and in fact it was advertised as such. When we went to pay we were charged DOUBLE what was expected for our lunch. I did not understand the explanation why? I find this business practice as dishonest and will no longer give them my business. Intentionally overcharging foreigners for meals or services should be frowned upon and illegal....

Thank you Alexandre Fresco for suggesting this address! We had an excellent lunch, grilled salmon with vegetables and beef steak with vegetables, rice and fries. The salmon was delicious and plentiful. The steaks were huge, simply impossible to go through more than half the portions! Very nice and attentive staff. Prices are not the lowest in the area but definitely very fair. The daily set full menu, at a price of 10 Euros, is excellent value. The place has a very large dining room inside and a cosy covered outside dining room as well. We will definitely go back.
