Also, the view is great and you can see the duckies and chickies outside! The portions are big, the prices affordable and the house specialties - Bife à Forcado and Bacalhau à Campino - are delicious. I would also recommend the Polvo no Forno, Enguias fritas com arroz de feijão, Capote and lagartos de porco. These are all amazing. You can repeat the side dishes, as they are included in the price of the dish. The meat usually comes with migas, bean, rice and fries. The fish usually comes with kale in warm olive oil, migas and rice bean, but these may vary depending on the dish. The staff is young but very professional. Read moreThe food was good, the service was bad, and the food poisoning after was even worse. Unfortunately, the food was actually pretty good, but be aware of the huge portion size. Two of us shared a half portion, and it was way more than enough. Seems like a good rule of thumb would be that each menu item serves four people. Anyways, on to the service, I felt almost like a fast food place trying to rush your table. They show up with all the starters on a tray and tell you to just pick what you want - it was overwhelming. So after we left, both my girlfriend and I were throwing up from what we ate here. We called to let them know what had happened, and they told us to call back later. We called back and then they told us we had to come in person to receive any type of refund...mind you we traveled about 45 minutes get here so going back was really our of the question, especially when we were sick and vomiting. Update: I’ve revisited this restaurant several times since my original review, and it has proven to be consistently excellent. The Bandarilhas de Borrego (lamb chops) on my last visit (June 2024) were juicy, tender and delicious - perhaps the best lamb I have eaten. The mixed plate of grilled meats included Pork, Veal and Lamb and one dose (portion) was enough for 4 people, and good value for 40euros. The wines on offer are impressive and meet every budget, but the house wine is perfectly acceptable and good value. Portions are big here. Meat quality is first class. Service is fast and attentive.
