I still feel disappointed while writing this review. I understood that it was probably my mistake too because I did not ask the price before ordering.
We arrived almost 2PM and just one table occupied. When my husband went to check the car in the parking, the lady approached me with the printed menu and informed me about prato do dia - lasagna do frango. I spoke Portuguese with her.
When my husband arrived, he checked the menu and the lady took the order and we both agreed with lasagna do frango. We thought that prato do dia will costed us less, in the end we paid 14,50€ per prato. If we know that the prato do dia costs the same like printed menu, we will not order the prato do dia. We ate in Funchal yesterday, and we paid 8,50 euros and 7,50 euros for a prato do dia, and was much better. We are from Porto, and still couldn't understand how they charge a prato do dia for 14,50 euros.
The lasagna do frango came with salad was just OK and nothing special. It was a big portion but it doesn't worth 14,50 euros.
PS. If you want to order prato do dia, please ask the price first. Otherwise, you will get disappointed like me. It is better to order the food from the printed menu if they will charge you 14,50 euros for prato do dia.

Read moreI recently dined at Seara, a charming restaurant with a rustic ambiance that perfectly complements its local cuisine. The welcoming staff adds to the warm atmosphere, always happy to offer recommendations.
The menu, though small, is exceptional. Highlights include seafood like clams and the local fish, espada, as well as a delicious steak with mushroom sauce. The outstanding picada, available in various sizes, is perfect for sharing, and the fried polenta and freshly cut fries taste just like a grandmother would make. There is also free parking, which is quite rare in the area. I will definitely...
Read moreYou definitely have to come here when you are in Madeira! Delicious local food, great atmosphere and the best service are not all you can experience here! because after a very nice conversation with Gustavo, he offered to prepare a special tasting menu of Peruvian cuisine with a Madeiran variation! We decided to go and came back a second time for this menu. It was something that everyone has to experience! Thank you Gustavo and his Mom (the chef) for this culinary journey to another part of the world! If I ever visit Madeira I will definitely...
